Of course not..that's what makes it taste so good. I'd love the recipe when you have some time. No ru**** would be a great surprise for my family to have homemade bun.

QOTD: Very excited as we'll likely see 50 degrees + today and tomorrow. What a yucky March it's been. I think Feb was warmer.

Also I'm lucky enough to live in a NYC neighborhood that has a good amount of oak trees. I'm very much looking forward to see some leaves sprouting. Leaves are good!

Good morning all~ We are staying in today as Rob is so sick! He just needs to rest. I will get some much needed paperwork and organizing done around the house and do some shopping later.

QOTD - Spring is sunshine to me. Unfortunately where I live it means the end of green landscapes and on to brown everything. For the most part, we only get rain in the winter months. Everything is green and beautiful now and it's gorgeous!! I do like that I can count on clear dry weather all summer and the hiking trails are always nice and dry.

Happy Saturday everyone!

I'm working remote all day today so I'll use the chance to straighten up the house, get some laundry done and all that housekeeping stuff. Not exciting but if I get it all done today, Sunday is my day to relax! I'll get in some time on the treadmill too, after I finish coffee and a few conference calls.

QOTD: I live in Arizona so spring is the last gasp of bearable weather -- I like cool mornings on the patio and seeing the trees blossom. One of the neighborhoods near me has a ton of trees with purple blossoms so I always love to see those bloom!

D: not sure, I want to cook something for dinner today and tomorrow but need to go through the bariatric cookbook to find the right thing! It will be protein and soft/chopped, I am sure!

Good morning weekenders. I'm late checking in but have already been up for a meeting, a trip to Trader Joe's and a stop at the nursery for pansies to plant in my barrel containers. They were on sale and will also survive the cool nights that we will still have to come.

I am headed to the pool in a few minutes for my first post-op swim. I probably won't make it my usual full hour of laps and not sure whether I can manage Aqua Zumba yet, but it will be amazing to be back in the water!

Yesterday I did some vacuuming for the first time since surgery. The doctor said that it was okay and the cat litter and fur were driving me nuts! But ouch! I had to rest for a couple hours before my back and belly stopped aching. It just proves that housework is dangerous!

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, ham, a few cashews

Pre-pool snack: smoked salmon, apple

Post-pool snack: string cheese, Premier protein shake

Dinner: roast beef

Exercise: swimming and light gardening

Have fun at the pool! Aqua Zumba is something I'm hoping to try soon!

Aqua Zumba is great fun and can be a real workout! I also love my Deep water aerobics class.
