Good morning Daisy and menu folks! I am off tomorrow and unsure of plans , but will try to post when I get up in the morning, I may drive Joddie in to work.

QOTD - I find the same and specifically when I stop. When I finally relax I turn to food. my Thoughts are that I need something, I need to be doing something. When I am busy and puttering around the house no issues...stop and forget it. Head hunger is real.

Time since surgery - 3 yrs, 4 mos

B - Protein bar

S - Oikos triple zero

L - Shrimp, no ****tail sauce so i am using a1 ( dont judge)...LOL

S - Ham roll ups

D - Chili

E - run and biceps/tri and abs

Stay healthy my friends.

Oliver and Amy are awesome Daisy!

Daisy, Amy and Oliver are sooooo cute in their ears!!

Good morning :)

Nothing much planned for today. I'm going to pop over to the grocery store before the long weekend so hopefully we won't have to go out when it's crazy busy. There is also a thrift store over there so I might browse a bit.

QOTD: when I used to live at my grandparent's house I had a lot of head hunger issues. I used to cabinet surf for food a lot. Also, when I started my new job I was good about avoiding the catering and local stores/restaurants. And then once I have one thing it's like the gates open and I eat whatever. At home is more of my safe area. I can control the environment more.

Post-op three years.

Breakfast - egg salad

Snack - apple and pb

Lunch - chicken salad

Snack - Greek yogurt

Dinner - chicken and something tbd

Snack - fake cheesecake

All water and vits.

Amy and Oliver are ador-a-ble!

QOTD: I have been trying to figure out lately what my hunger cues are. Since after surgery it's not always that traditional hungry feeling. Trying to figure out the balance because of hypoglycemia as I have both regular and I get RH as well. I would say I get headachy and all of a sudden lose all steam. I fade. I also have been trying to eat more earlier in the day as my nighttime eating was out of control. It seems to be helping.

Food? Usual latte, eggs, high fiber flax concoction hog cereal, maybe tuna, chicken and zoodles for dinner.

Ex: at home stretching routine, maybe Pilates

Good morning. Accountability fair. I ended up eating a couple pieces of Buffalo Jerky and a piece of dark chocolate last night that I hadn't planned. Not bad, but not planned. So the QOTD is appropriate. I find that I'm most hungry after 7pm. My therapist says that is likely when my Ghrelin in the highest and this is likely a natural state for me (and he says most people). He suggested adding a little more fat to my dinner, so now I add oil to my salad - so we'll see how that helps (as I just started that the other day - and oddly, now that I think about it, didn't have my salad last night). So we'll see.

B - 2 scrambled with 3 pieces of turkey bacon

S - Fage 5.5 oz and .5oz nuts

L - 3 oz Turkey meatloaf and small salad (with some Thai spiced cucumbers I made)

S - Either some Jerky or Quest clear

D - Small salad, 1 tbs olive oil; Chicken burger 3.5oz

S - 1/4 quest bar (eggface cookies) and 2 SF popsicles

Made it to spin class this morning. My legs hurt ;) I was walking to warm up and looked into the pool area - empty without me there - figures :)

Revision on 03/14/18

Another rainy day here in Ohio. I'm only 2 weeks out from revision so I'm skipping Easter dinner with the family since I can't eat much. I have a large family (20 aunts/uncles and 52 cousins) and everyone brings 1-2 dishes to share. It is a lot of food!

QOTD: im still on soft foods and I often don't feel hungry at the moment. I know that won't last but most days I have to remind myself to eat. Otherwise I work from home and the temptation is real. I try not to have bad food in my house so I can't eat it, but it happens. Although I prefer working from home because the office has tons of junk food sitting out at all times.

B: 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese

L: protein shake

D: ricotta bake

E: walking

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family and Happy Easter everyone!!!

Daisy, Oliver and Amy are SO darned cute in their bunny ears!!! I love it!

Saturday a friend and I are going to an "Adult Easter Egg Hunt" at the local bars. Neither she nor I drink, so it's going to be kind of funny, us two old ladies going around bar hopping and hunting for Easter eggs among all the college aged kids who will be drinking and getting rowdy! They are hiding 8,000 eggs for this event, some with riddle and dares in them and so it should be a lot of fun! Then Sunday I am going to church and then over to my friend's house for Easter lunch.

Accountability: Yesterday, calories kind of high, but I've been losing weight lately, so I've been eating a bit more. Protein - 92, Calories - 1,455, Carbs - 168.

QOTD: I am home all day long, so the temptation to eat is always there. I recently took a crochet class and that has helped give me something to do with my hands. Yesterday I wanted to eat, but I crocheted instead and that put off eating for an hour.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: ham sandwich on 45 calorie bread, light & fit Greek yogurt

D: turkey meal

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Taking Blossom for a walk around the subdivision

Have a wonderful day and Happy Easter weekend everyone!

You are fairly tall aren't you Karen? My average is maybe around 1400 these days with the extra 50 being veggie calories. But I'm only 5'3" and about 116/117. In other words, I would think you would potentially need at least as many or more calories than me in maintenance.

accountability: I ate too many snacks last night. Really for no reason.

QOTD: always in the evening.

Menu: B: Latte, eggbeaters, sausage and an orange L: TBD since I'm going to let Em pick and we will meet up with hubby too S: yogurt, tuna pack and low carb pita (prob a latte) D: spaghetti squash casserole and a few baby carrots with roasted red pepper/feta dip, dark chocolate squares ES: homemade Greek yogurt with something mixed in.

E: run and elliptical done this morning

W/V: on track

morning everyone!
I missed yesterday because I'm filling in for someone who's on vacation at work the rest of the week so sitting at a different station and doing some extra work, was a little too busy to log in...but its quiet this morning for the time being!

My family usually does Easter at my parents' house but this year, since they are in Az, we are doing it at my sister's. They're making a ham and some lamb chops, I am bringing green bean casserole and rolls (which I will not eat), and my brother and sis in law are bringing some potato thing and dessert (also won't eat any of that) it will be more about the company than the food for me during holidays from now on and I am good with that.

QOTD: I am just over 6 weeks out now and have only felt "real" hunger once so far- last week when i had a super light lunch and didn't eat anything else for about 5 hours, i started to feel it...but it was not the same as before surgery. it was more an energy draining, empty feeling.
Head hunger ha**** me since about week 2 though, and especially now that I am cleared to start trying regular foods, I am having a hard time with it...mostly after work when I get home...again, I have all the foods there and its my house and I have always been a "closet snacker" late at night when nobody is there to judge me. I have learned recently that Cashews may be a trigger for me and I need to carefully measure them IF i allow myself to have them. I may just be excited to have something crunchy! LOL...I guess it's better than chips or pretzels!

Morning: Coffee w/ Caramel PP
B: egg salad w/cotttage cheese and chopped up turkey pepperoni
L: 2oz Turkey lunch meat & provolone slice
AS: baby bel cheese
D: making "egg roll in a bowl" tonight!

Have a wonderful afternoon everyone!
