What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
No, this is just a 2 day trip so he is with SIL. Trying to figure out what I need to do to travel with him in 3 weeks. Looks like I have to get a vet health certificate.

Good morning! If you were to watch me cycling this morning, you'd have sworn I was being chased by a bear. I made it to work in 12 minutes, with two red lights to wait for. Had I not had those lights, I might have cut my regular time in half. LOL
B: Coffee and my protein bar, calcium pill.
MS: 1/2 can tuna, a carrot and about 8 slices of cucumber.
L: other 1/2 of can of tuna, mixed with 1/2 cup cottage cheese/dill pickle concoction. Salt and pepper. It's weird, but tasty and HUGE protein.
AS: Protein bar
S: Unknown but on-plan
Tonight I'm heading to the gym for a weight session. Can't wait.
Daisy, I like your approach when it comes to accountability. If you have something you shouldn't, you don't beat yourself up about it, rather just get back on the horse. I had this chat with my NUT last week; when you fall off the horse, the best thing you can do for yourself (and the horse) is to get back on, don't continue walking a different path.
QOTD: We decorate for Christmas, and a little bit for Hallowe'en. Christmas gets the most attention with the laser lights on the house, a door wreath and two outdoor trees flanking the garage, and the tree/stockings inside. Nothing too crazy, I can decorate and tear down in one day. Some neighbours take weeks to set it all up, which is cool but not for me. For Hallowe'en I carve pumpkins with my family. Usually I either freestyle or find a cool pattern and do it. This past year I carved "Pennywise" from Stephen King's "IT" (the original movie guy, not this re-made clown). I find him much more terrifying, and the trick-or-treaters agreed. :) I'm the parent that walks around with whatever kid wants to go with me (usually my youngest, because my oldest is now "too cool" to hold my hand walking around the neighbourhood). My wife stays home and hands out the loot. I might resurrect the "big scary guy" costume this year and have some fun. Black hooded cloak, white skeleton face, bloody eyes, dragging a shovel on the pavement while walking really slow......hehehe Hmmmm...I think that'll happen this year LOL
For Easter, we do a family egg hunt but that's about the extent of the decorating. I'm looking forward to the dinner (there are rumours of ham happening, as if my brother-in-law and I aren't already hams enough).
Good morning Daisy and menu folks. Have a great 4 day weekend Daisy, I have a 3 day weekend and am looking forward to it as well. Ryley leaves for his England/Scotland/Ireland trip on Saturday, will be quiet for a week.
Accountability - not great either - had some veggie straws and an extra serving of skinny popcorn.
QOTD - we decorate for every season/Holiday - Valentines, st Pattys, Easter, Spring, July 4rh, Fall, Halloween/Thanksgiving and Christmas. We love The Christmas Tree Shop, great place to stock up on holiday decorations. I attached a photo below of my office door. I got ribbed a little when I first started as no one was decorating, now everyone does and I even started an ugly sweater contest at Christmas, Our VP is a very laid back Englishman and he won the contest...it was great.Love the Holidays.

Good morning!! So happy it's Wednesday and the weekend is coming. We will have a full 8 am to midnight day on Saturday but somehow it always still feels better when it's a work at home Saturday.
Accountability: I've been very good at sticking to plan and any swaps I make because as I look at my plan for the day I feel like the calories or carbs are too high, so that's a good thing! I am seeing things in my food planning/log that make better choices -- like, I really enjoyed the new cherry flavored skyr but the sugar/carb combo means it can't be an every day choice.
QOTD: I decorate for Christmas inside and with a laser light show on the garage; but I do have season front door wreaths that I swap out regularly. Something about a pretty wreath on the door makes the house seem welcoming to me!
Time since surgery: 6 weeks
B: Coffee and fair life
S: Kraft string cheese

D: home made protein shake or TBD (I have a friend coming into town and can't remember if we're meeting tonight or tomorrow to catch up. If we are meeting and go to dinner, I will stick to a soup.

just a drive-by for now - I really need to get my butt in gear and head out the door!
potluck lunch today at work. I made a really good harira (Moroccan soup) last night to take. Someone else is bringing cauliflower curry and there were also vegetable and fruit trays on the list, so I should be able to manage this...
QOTD: we haven't decorated for holidays in forever. We've never decorated for anything but Christmas, but it's probably been 15 years since we've done even that. Not even a Christmas tree. Cats (they climb Christmas trees...).
2 years 9 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1/2 scoop lemon protein powder + sliced strawberries
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax protein shake
L: harira, cauliflower curry, a few raw veggies & pieces of fruit. That should do it...
AS: L&F yogurt (??)
D: I'm thinking a pork chop with Asian-style slaw
ex: Aqua Zumba
We don't do a Christmas tree because we don't have the space, but we also have three cats. We're hoping to move into a bigger house next year and I have NO idea what they'll do to a Christmas tree!

My moms cat climbed and slept in hers. He thought he was a bird, maybe.

We had to switch from real Christmas trees to artificial when we got my cat many moons ago. The very first Christmas we heard a loud crash one night. He had climbed it up and tipped it over, half scared us to death!
He also liked to eat the pine needles, which did not make for a fun time.
The artificial are too skinny to climb up easily and he didn't try to eat their needles.
I'm excited to have a real tree this year, after 20 years, but man do I miss that little booger. :(
