How much food can you eat at one sitting?iI
I'm almost 10 weeks out and can barely get a cup of food into me at any one time. Typically I think I'm getting about 3/4 of a cup. Dense protein first and if I still have room, a little veg. Most often than not, I end up throwing stuff out.

Every day in this forum there is a "What's on your menu RNYers?" Topic thread. You can read them and see what we are all eating at different stages. There are a few of us newbies that post there and you can get some good ideas! A lot of us have it listed when we had surgery so you can tell how far out we are

You really should be going by weight, not volume. At 7 weeks, you should be eating no more than 2-3oz of weighed dense protein. You shouldn't need anything with it.
Below are a couple of my meal days from 7 weeks, I have added stats since I can't screenshot in the same image.

I used a digital food scale I got off of amazon to weigh my food so I knew the actual weight of the food, not the volume. Shoving chicken breast strips into a cup is tough, but measuring 3 oz is easy :) You seem eager to see ideas and meal plans so here is what I suggest:
This early out, prioritize the protein, as others have said. Ditch the cream of wheat for sure, and ditch the frozen dinners too. At seven weeks out, I was around 500-600 calories. My meals looked like this (and I logged everything into MyFitnessPals so these are literally my meals):
Breakfasts:
1 egg, scrambled with one piece of American cheese
1 egg scrambled, 2 slices bacon
Chocolate protein shake (20 g protein) with 2 tbsp of PB2 (powdered peanut butter) added in
Lunches:
1 - 2 oz of rotisserie chicken and 1 babybel cheese
2 oz balsamic and rosemary chicken strips from Trader Joes, 1 oz goat cheese
2 - 3 oz ground turkey with taco seasoning, a sprinkle of cheese
3 oz turkey chili
3 oz tuna mixed with mayo
1 chicken sausage from Trader Joes
Dinners:
2 oz rotisserie chicken
2 oz sashimi (raw tuna) and 3 slices avocado
3 oz of tilapia or other flaky fish
2 oz of shrimp with a tbsp of pesto sauce
Snacks:
protein shakes (I loved Chike high protein iced coffee shakes, from amazon)
3 oz of cottage cheese
Light and fit greek yogurt
1 oz of deli turkey and 1 oz of munster cheese
You would be much better off weighing your meals and sticking to dense protein. You will get full from chicken/turkey/steak/pork etc...not from cream of wheat or frozen meals. I know it's weird to cook a single chicken sausage and look at it and think "this is dinner????" but honestly, it's the best thing for you right now.
Also, many people rely on some Miralax to help unblock the insides due to this high protein medium fat low carb diet.
Good luck!
Joe, I'm also six weeks out and I'm pretty much in the same boat. I wouldn't worry about it. I was told that's to be expected, especially if we have the protein first.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
