What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Accountability: Still working on the evening cravings - but getting better.
QOTD: In my building there is a small group of young people with mental and/or learning disabilities *****ceive classrooom and on the job training. The one young man walks to work and the other morning he was a few feet ahead of me as I was walking from my car. He was listening to music with earbuds and was singing his heart out as he walked and had the hand gestures to go with it. It got my morning off to a great start and all I could think of was "dance like no one is watching."
B: decaf with chocolate protein drink
L: Insides of leftover chicken quesadilla
S: Greek LnF Yogurt
D: Pork Chop, Brussel Sprouts
S: Clementine

Good morning :)
I was supposed to go out with my grandmother today but last night I had a terrible headache which made me nauseous so we decided to reschedule. I'm feeling okay today, so I might try to get a few little chores done. It's raining so I will try to avoid going outside ;)
QOTD: I don't know about bravery, but my cousin is super dedicated and motivated. He is 17 years old and is doing an online accounting course for high school. He gets up first thing in the morning, has a shower, and then completes his course work. He does this Monday and Tuesday and gets all his work done for the week. I am so proud of him because I do not have the discipline to do online courses. He also got accepted to all the college programs he applied to for next year.
Post-op three years.
Breakfast - pb and j on toast
Snack - leftover ribs
Lunch - egg salad
Snack - Greek yogurt
Dinner - leftover ribs
Snack - fake cheesecake
All water and vits.
Good morning everyone.
I'm almost two weeks out from revision and these last few mornings I wake up almost feeling full. I know my stomach is still healing and will take some time, but I almost have to remind myself to eat since I never feel hungry at the moment.
I haven't been able to walk as much as I would like with this strained muscle but I do try to get in what I can.
QOTD: I've always used the gym here at my condo association the last few years so I can't think of anything at the moment. I had a not so great experience at a gym once that makes it hard to go back to one. Long story short the manager basically kicked me out cause I kept refusing to up my personal training package. I just couldn't afford it and he told me I wasn't allowed bac****il I was willing to pay more. Mind you I had a signed contract with an agreed upon amount but that wasn't enough for him. I was able to get out of the contract and some of my money back.
B: protein shake
L: yogurt
D: egg salad
e: walking

Good morning everyone!
yesterday afternoon I started feeling pretty yucky and by the evening it was a full blown cold...so needless to say, I was not motivated enough to start my workout and ended up going to bed by 8:30. today is going to be a long day. BTW, what do you all take for a bad cold? I am afraid to take any kind of syrups for the sugar content and obviously nothing with NSAIDs in it...but I know I am going to need something to help me get through the day...I just seem to get drowsy with most cold meds, even DayQuil.
QOTD: I've known my best friend now for about 18 years or so and when we met, her oldest son was about 7 years old. Since I met him, I knew that he was gay...his mom was pretty sure, his step dad was pretty sure, but he obviously had to come to terms with it as he grew older. His father is a very traditional man and I know it was hard for him to come out to him, but a couple years ago, when he turned 20, he finally came out...I think going to college and being around more tolerant people helped him to realize that he could be himself. I think it is incredibly brave for anyone in the LGBTQ community to open themselves up to the harsh critical world we live in. The kid is so smart and talented and he is studying to be a psychologist for children with special needs (he has 4 brothers with special needs). I couldn't be more proud of him if he were my own son.
B1: Coffee w/Premier protein on my way to work this morning
B2: egg salad w/cottage cheese and diced smoked sausage
L: leftover pepper/sausage/kale casserole
S: baby bel cheese
D: not sure, my husband is making something with pork chops, so we will see how it goes

Good morning. Accountability was very good. I finding that adding a little more fat to breakfast and a little more protein at dinner is really keeping the cravings for me down. I made it to spin class this morning and survived the whole class, so that's a big NSV for me - though I'm still going slower than everyone else. But smiling all the way.
QOTD - I can't think of a time in person, but I watch the ABC World News and find their last segment very inspiring and it frequently makes me smile. One that stands out is a group of Girl Scouts who raised money and bought a local fire department a pet sized oxygen system. They showed them using it to save a dog after a fire and then of course, commenting on the dog surviving with the child owner smiling and hugging the pet. That was a big smile that hit home with me. But those segments really do add to my happy bucket after a news segment of shootings and presidential tweets/sex scandals.
B - 2 scrambled in Pam; 1 sausage and 1 turkey bacon
S - 5 oz Fage; .5 oz mixed nuts
L - 3 oz chicken burger and small salad
S - Quest Clear
D - Last of the spaghetti squash with turkey meat sauce - really yummy and my wife actually ate a big bowl of it last night. Thankfully she's going out with some friends, so the rest for me tonight ;)
S - SF popsicles (loving the Walmart Budget Saver SF pops - nice flavors) and 1/4 Quest bar made into eggface cookies

Posting late today. I think I'm getting sick, or maybe just stretching myself too thin. Either way, I slept through my 8Am this morning and I could just kick myself for it. I went to bed at 9 last night and didn't wake up till 8:45, normally I can jump out of bed by 4am. So not sure what's up.
QUOTD: Oh good question. I think recently I'm really proud of my mom. She's an amazing woman and super wise and funny, but I can tell she really struggles with confidence and anxiety. The other day she decided she wanted to write a book. So she's started on that endevour and regardless of it goes anywhere, I'm proud of her for doing something she loves.
A: the food apathy is real. And so is the sugar craving! Why oh why did I let my friend bring the Halo Top into my house?! So far I've done a good job staying on plan, but nothing sounds good except for chocolate. And all of the chocolate preferably.
Menu:
Tuna
Jerky
iconic bar
tuscan style chicken.

good morning!
went to an early morning yoga class this morning since my evenings are kinda full this week. It was great doing it first thing in the morning! Going to try a new support group tonight...
accountability: went over on calories again, but not horribly so and all good choices. Weight down slightly this morning. Need to get myself back under 1500 kcal again...
QOTD: I, too, was amazed by all the teens who spoke at the March for Our Lives rally in DC this weekend. It was just mind-blowing. I'm also amazed by one of my friends who came out last year as a trans woman. I think coming out as any member of the LGBTQ community would be tough, but especially for trans people. Even though our society still has a long way to go, I think in general, there is more gay acceptance now than there is transgender acceptance. I can't even fathom how hard that would be.
2 years 9 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, 2 T Crio Bru grounds, 2 T pomegranate seeds
MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake
L: taco meat and sour cream
AS: maybe a protein bar before the support group (if I don't go home first - the meeting is at 5:00, so pretty early)
D: if I'm home late, leftover Chinese-style chicken & veggies. If not, then turkey meatballs with marinara sauce & zoodles
