Before and After Photo! I've lost 122 Pounds!!! I'm 50 Years Old and Feel Fantastic!
Hi Christy
Way to go and congratulations on your weight loss and living life as it was meant to be lived. We respect this is your weight loss experience to date and you are entitled to share.
Take it from someone that is older than dirt we all have this surgery to save our lives and enable us to live "YEARS" longer than we would if we did not have the surgery. If you search this site you will see posts after posts after posts of people coming on here and sharing their crippling life altering consequences from NOT taking vitamins. Even death! Around year 5 I got lazy and within 2 years I was in trouble. Lesson learned and I am on it like white on rice. Taking vitamins and watching my labs is the reason I am here and healthy after 14 years.
You are doing great, get on a regiment of vitamins, have your labs done yearly and as soon as anything drops (does not have to be in the red zone) for us a drop is a red flag that it's a must to adjust.
Please keep us posted and enjoy your success

You look amazing, congrats on your new healthy life!
Ive been on Optifas****er, and broth for a week now with one to go. I'm getting a little anxious but excited at same time. I just ate a pc of celery for the first time followed by a broth and almost brought it back up. Is this normal on Optifast. Thanks.
Please don't ask this woman for advice, there are veterans (5 years plus) who are here every day, as well as very educated people from 1-5 years who can help you with any and all questions.
ANY advice from this poster is probably DANGEROUS and her new life is anything but healthy!

Her posting history suggests that she will come back tonight and block anyone who has called her out.
She will then return in a month or two and post her regular "I'm awesome, vitamin special and you're all attention seekers" to whoever will congratulate her.
She's dangerous and should be ashamed of herself for both her ignorance and the spread thereof.

I could have written this at 2 years out, in 2004. By 2009 I was practically bedridden and had gained 100 lbs. And I wouldn't have believed a soul who tried to warn me, either.
In fact, when I first started regaining I figured it was normal bounce back. And someone suggested that perhaps I might want to keep an eye on that. What did she know? If I would have caught it when it was 10 or 20 lbs instead of 100 I might have saved myself some misery.
As far as the supplements go, the sad thing is I was doing what I was supposed to do. According the the health professionals who said Flintstones were sufficient and my labs were fine as long as they were in range. Meaning the very bottom of the range. And I never thought to see what direction they were going to.
It took me many years after my revision to finally start to recover physically. It was a very slow process and I learned it is easier to stay healthy than it is to get healthy.
I hope you enjoy infusions because I see many in your future. Like for osteoporosis (had it) and anemia (still dealing with it).
But don't believe me or anyone else who has made the same mistakes you are making now. Because it is so easy and you are so special. Maybe you won't be the one *****gains a significant amount of the weight you lost and won't lose your health because you aren't taking your supplements. Maybe you won't but I wouldn't bet my life on it. Like you are now.
