1 month
its been a month since my surgery and I've lost 25 lbs...my nutrient thought I would lose more, but my surgeon thinks I'm right on track since I don't have that much to lose. She said if I made sure I stuck with 40-60 grams of protein I would have more success, I have a hard time drinking that much protein which is what she wants me to do I take a few sips and I'm full..is anyone else having this problem.

I go for my one month follow up this week it will be interesting to hear what they have to say. I managed to get all 61 grams of protein today from food granted some was milk but I'm trying to get all my protein from food as I don't like the drinks and haven't been too happy adding it to other foods. Sounds to me like you are doing good.

Yes!! But last night I had a glass of milk to reach my protein count and I swear I could have drank the whole glass in 2 or 3 swallows. I didn't but if felt that way!

I don't know if you would tolerate it, but I drink the Fairlife skim milk - it's high protein and lactose free.

I've never tried lactaid. To me it tastes just like skim milk, I don't notice anything odd about it.

I just thought of something, my grocery store does stock some single servings of fair life -- in where the single servings of chocolate milk are. I'm not sure I've seen the skim milk version there but you could check --that way you could try it without the commitment to a full bottle!
