It seems like hiccups are going to be my signal!

Early on, I got hiccups. It only lasted the first 6 months or so. I still get the runny nose issue if I have eaten too much.
Most of us tend to have what we call big pouch and little pouch days. We can eat x amount fine, but one day we get stuffed on half that much. Thgere doesn't seem to be any real pattern to it, either. We just need to eat slowly and watch for the signs. Easier said than done.

I think since I'm new at this, im being more cautious just because it's on the forefront of my mind, but I can see how easy it would be to eat too fast and not notice some of those signals right away some day. Especially if I'm socializing while eating or watching something on TV (we don't have a table, so all meals are eaten in the living room)

Hiccups for me in the beginning was a sign that I was at or sometimes past the stop point. I did and still do get a runny nose, but now sometimes I can get one at the beginning of a meal. Agree that if I slow down my eating, it stops sometimes.
I had a lot of trouble with meat in the beginning... sometimes two bites, sometimes more. The cut of meat definitely plays into it! Chicken thighs are easier than breast meat, because it is fattier and not as dry. I still cannot eat very much ham, maybe one ounce. But I can eat 3-4 ounces of barely cooked steak. Any meat will be easier to eat if it has a sauce. Dry is death in my experience. I srill shy away from any meat that is dry.

I can't wait until I get to the next phase and can have some more solid-ish meats.
