What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
I was going to say OKeefes too. You can get it at lots of places including Home Depot. And for healing cracks, I put a little super glue in the crack so it doesn't hurt while healing.

Mornin' All!
Have been a bit off with my eating plan the last two days. I had some labs done yesterday at 11:00 am and had a required fast for 12 hours beforehand, so I ate a meal at 10:00 pm on Wednesday night which put me way over on calories for the day (although all good choices - and I'm glad I did it because I would have been miserable by 11:00 am yesterday morning if it weren't for the late night meal). Then yesterday I was at the hospital for testing for six hours (nothing wrong - just a research study). I had no idea what or when I'd be eating, so I took a couple of protein bars, but they were in my computer bag, which my husband had. I thought I would see him a lot more during the day since he was my "study partner" and had to do a bunch of things as part of being my partner while I was there, but after the blood draw at 11:00, I never saw him again 'til the end of the day. They did have snacks in one of the testing rooms, but the "healthiest" thing there (and I put "healthiest" in quotes) were these packs of peanut butter crackers. So I had a couple of those. Plus some trail mix. So by the end of the day, I was about up at my calorie limit, but WAY low on protein. So I had enough at home to bring my protein up to an acceptable level, but again, I was way over on calories. Ugh. So I'll have to really be strict the next couple of days.
QOTD: anything repetitive would drive me insane. Like assembly line work. I would last about 30 minutes, I think. I need lots of variety and I need to be able to change tasks every hour or so.
2 years 9 months out:
B: Greek yogurt with tahini mixed in
MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake
L: if I'm at work, cottage cheese. If home, chili
AS: 2 T peanut butter on celery sticks
D: not sure. Maybe turkey meatballs in marinara sauce over zoodles??

Happy Friday! So glad to get to today -- this week has worn me out more each day! I even skipped bookclub last night because I couldn't keep my eyes open (and closed eyes is no way to drive!) Wisely, I didn't plan much for the weekend, I have a massage scheduled and really need to do some housework/laundry but should have the chance to recharge. I am going to do a bit of cooking this weekend so I have some ready food for the week -- need to keep making strides from the liquid(y) to the food diet. Also, I think the Sam's club sale on PP ends today so I want to go pick up a few more cartons.
Accountability - right as planned for food, a bit low on water as I took too long to drink my protein coffee.
QOTD - I could never work in a job that was isolated. I really need to be around people for energy. I have people that are full time remote workers and I don't know how they do it -- two or three days in a row at home and I'm stir crazy.
B - 1.8 oz chopped deli roast beef and 1 oz chopped cheddar
S - protein coffee
L - .5 Chocolate PP
S - .5 Chocolate PP
D - unk -- maybe i'll make up some egg bites and have one
V - on track
E - an hour on treadmill while watching crap TV will end the week quite nicely!
Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!

Happy Friday everyone!
I have an eye exam scheduled for tomorrow and looking forward to getting some new glasses/contacts. It's like a fun accessory and I just found a website I want to try ordering some glasses from...its worth it even if they are low quality, since I can order like 8 pairs for the same price as getting one pair from the vision center (even with my insurance covering about 70% last year my glasses cost over $300).
I will start off with one pair to see how it goes, but if it works out well, I know I will never go back to getting them from the eye doctor again regardless of whether my insurance will give me a discount!
Also planning to go to my sister's house on Sunday to dye eggs with the kiddo's so that will be fun.
QOTD: I would be awful at any kind of Sales job. I can't stand lying to people just to get them to sign up or buy something, I just feel terrible...especially knowing many people are on tight budgets.
I have a degree in Art Education but I did not enjoy it like I thought I would...dont get me wrong, I LOVED teaching and the students, etc...I just can't stand the school politics and the restrictions in the education system. I currently work in a medical office doing health insurance approvals which is pretty much the exact opposite of Art. I don't love it but I am good at it because I am very organized and detail oriented and it pays the bills.
B: egg bite w/turkey bacon and turkey pepperoni
MS: coffee w/caramel Premier protein
L: leftover Chicken tikka masala
AS: cottage cheese/canned chicken
D: crab stuffed flounder/ maybe some green beans
I don't have a picture of my favorite comic strip but I love Calvin & Hobbes...have a few of the books, and I always loved Garfield!

I get my glasses in Costco or Sam's. (Mostly Costco) even with my very special prescription, plus progressive lenses, plus speciall coating, plus photochrome - my glasses were under 300 - no insurance coverage. I but cheaper glasses from them also to have around the house.

I've heard that about Sam's. I just got a membership recently so I might check it out...but the website I found will allow me to get frames, ultra light polycarbonate, scratch proof coating, glare resistant coating, and even transitions lenses if I want them for under $80. without the transition lenses, I can get all that for about $50. it's crazy...I think I would be crazy NOT to try it...for just a regular prescription and one of their less expensive frames (they are all super inexpensive but range from $10-120) you could get a full pair of glasses for like $20. actually my friend just ordered a pair for $10 she said but has not gotten them yet.
I think its worth a shot anyway. if they suck, oh well...its not like i spent hundreds...but if they work, wonderful! even if they are a little less sturdy, I could afford to buy several pair just to have backups! (and to match all different outfits LOL)
The website I found is discountglasses.com. if anyone has tried it please let me know your experiences...the reviews on the site are mostly positive...even the people who said they got their prescription wrong said they sent it back to be fixed with great customer service.
