What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
Good morning! DD2 for some reason I can't see your pics, though I can see the others?
I skipped the menu threads yesterday due to a down day as it was the 13 anniversary of DD's death. I slept well last night though after a bad night prior during which a lot of carbs kept me company.
QOTD: I'd be bad at a job where there was a lot of time spent doing nothing, like working in a furniture store. Every time we go in one there are a bunch of salespeople just sitting around! I have to keep busy and ways always multi-tasking at work.
1 year, 11.5 months post-op
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: deli turkey
D: Leftover pulled pork
S: Yogurt and/or mozzarella/prosciutto sticks

Thanks, Karen. That's the "I want to be in your lap" look.

Happy Friday!
I have a really busy day today, so I'm a little nervous about my energy levels.
Accountability: I forgot to post yesterday. But I stayed on plan. I also went in to work for the first time and did great, I only worked a half day and I was exhausted when I came home.
QOTD: I would be a terrible teacher. I don't have that sense of organization and that many kids at once would totally overwhelm me.
Im 3.5 weeks from surgery.
B: Skyr Yogurt
MS: Protein Shake
L: Turkey, sprinkle of cheese, mild salsa
D: An egg

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Still having computer problems so I can't scan in any comic strips. (My printer is connected to my desktop). Here's a comic strip I uploaded a long time ago. I like Pickles. Sorry for all the background clutter.
QOTD: I would not make a good doctor or nurse and I admire those who take care of people. I would panic in an emergency and I don't handle blood or guts very well, or vomit and excretement. When I was a child I thought I wanted to be a veterinarian, but I wouldn't be able to do surgery, see animals in pain, or let a pet go back to a home I didn't feel was loving enough.
Accountability: Yesterday I seemed to be hungry all day long. I ate too many calories, but it was all good stuff like greek yogurt and prosciutto & mozzarella sticks. I even ate a greek yogurt at 3 am last night!
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: ham & cheese on 45 calorie bread
D: chicken & vegetable stir fryE
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups
E: Taking Blossom for a walk around the subdivision
Have a GREAT day everyone!
~ Karen
Good morning :)
Nothing much planned, just a bunch of little errands. I might go bug my aunt today -- I have something to take to her (somehow I ended up as the intermediate package deliverer). I might pick up a few groceries that are on sale. I don't expect we will do much this weekend as DH is still sick with a cold. This has not been a good year for him.
QOTD: I would be terrible at sales or anything that required travel. I can't cold call people and I get exhausted traveling even for vacations. I would love to try construction or furniture building. So random, but I love the idea of making things that would be around for a long time. Typically I work in research or administration, so that would be a big stretch for me :)
Post-op three years.
Breakfast - yogurt and banana
Snack - protein bar
Lunch - chicken and veg
Snack - apple and pb
Dinner - beef and cheese
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Posting earlier today as we don't work on Friday,Saturday or Sunday. Today we are going to a nearby distillery for a tour and to see some alligators at a refuge with the other Nomads. Every day working is a blessing as I remember how impossible it all would have been 6 years ago. Yesterday I wiggled in underneath beds on my stomach and painted cabin floors. Then after work was done I did dishes and walked 4 miles with Lily with energy to spare. Such a miracle! Post op 5 years 6.5 months and weight at 118 today. Heres the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L unsure as we'll be eating out but probably some sort of seafood D 4 oz strip steak with mushrooms and gravy S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Lily and I will do 4 miles when we get back this afternoon.QOTD any sort of job where I had to spend the day talking on the phone--especially if I was selling something. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
