Happy Friday Protein Pals!! How are you all? I am good, really looking forward to this weekend. What are you all up to this weekend? Tonight is a chill night for us, tomorrow I am going to the gym in the morning, going out in the evening with some good friends to play Billiards and have sone drinks (I don't drink so I will be DD). Sunday is dog food shopping and the usual, menu prep & cooking and cleaning house/laundry.

Accountability: As soon as I put my steaks on the bbq we ran out of propane! UGH!!!! So I put it all back in the fridge and had cabbage rolls instead. Otherwise on plan.

QOTD: What job would you be terrible at? For me it would be anything with numbers. I would not do any accounting, finance, anything like that. I suck at math and have much respect for those of you out there that are very good at math and get numbers, me, nope!

Good Friday Morning everyone!

I am embarrassed to say that having a really stressful week has made me very irresponsible about my goals. I have eaten off-track treats, too many calories, and abandoned exercise. I am annoyed with myself and have been avoiding the menu thread because I know I have sucked this week. But I know that's only going to make it worse, so here I am, confessing.

I'm looking forward to a fun weekend. Lots of art and culture events, and I will also be walking in the National Walk for Our Lives event.

QOTD: I would hate working on an assembly line of anything repetitive and thoughtless.

JB, it sounds like you and I are having the exact same kind of week. Everyday since Tuesday has been awful for me. I don't even want to go into how much chocolate and Chex mix has made it's way onto my menu. Stay strong, you can do this. We can do this!

Good morning everyone! I'm not prepared with a photo today. Even checked to see if I'd taken anything recently with my phone, but I only snapped a quick pic of my grocery store ad so I'd remember that I want to get a pork shoulder roast at 97 cents per pound :P

YOU GUYS. DH got us season tickets for our local 2018-2019 Orpheum Broadway series. The series includes Aladdin, School of Rock, Miss Saigon (I performed the music from this in high school flag Corp, it's AMAZING) and closing out the season next fall...Hamilton!! I'm so excited I could pee. I'm a massive fan of Broadway shows in general, but Hamilton has stolen my heart. Now here's hoping that we fit more comfortably in those itty bitty Orpheum theater seats...

qotd: Daisy, like you, I thought I'd never be good at anything involving math. I'm a solid arts/language/history person, barely passed math courses all through high school and college. I taught high school English for a short time and hated the job. Now I work in finance for a brokerage company and love my job. Go figure?? I don't think I'd be good at anything that would require me to be some kind of hard ass. Like a prison guard or something.

Accountability: I ate a couple bites of baked potato with butter yesterday from the lunch caterer

Breakfast: 1 small sausage patty, 1 egg. I'll sip my protein shake on the commute to work.

snack: string cheese and 1 oz turkey breast

lunch: 2.5 oz leftover BBQ chicken from yesterday.

dinner: 2 turkey meatballs with spaghetti sauce and Parmesan.

I am a Broadway series subscriber here in Cleveland and absolutely LOVE it! My mom and I have had the tickets for years and she is in her late eighties and has been battling cancer for past 5 years...but she has this incredible zest for life. She has not made it to any of the shows with me this year due to her health, but just yesterday she called and asked if I had renewed! I told her yes, and I plan on her joining me at each one, though I know that it is not likely that she will be able too, I knew it would break her heart if I didn't renew! We have Hamilton and Aladdin coming in the next few months and just saw Rent this past week.

The seating here is pretty tiny and I am happy to say, I fit quite comfortably! Keep up the good work!

You will LOVE Hamilton! I listened to the soundtrack on my way to work this morning and having it playing in my head right now! As for the seats, you guys should be good. I know one thing that really pushed me to surgery was being so uncomfortable going to events like shows and baseball games, etc. I remember going to a Dodger game and having to sit forward the whole game, because my butt and thighs wouldn't fit in the seats. It was uncomfortable and mortifying all at the same time. Now, I fit with plenty of room to spare! So excited for you!
