There's a thread somewhere recent. I think it's called egg roll in a bowl on the net. I really like it. Use lots of different proteins. I didn't care much for ground meat or ground turkey. I use rotisserie chicken, brisket or roast turkey mostly. I have great Asian markets here, so I try some weird stuff in it on occasion. I'm usually the only Caucasian in the store. They also make a great sashimi salad for 7 bucks.

Mornin' All!

I report to the hospital at 10:00 am this morning for six hours of testing. This is the screening for the Alzheimer's research study I want to be in. It's both physical and mental (memory) screening. They're doing blood tests, so I have to fast for 12 hours. Nothing bu****er. I don't like fasting - and I sometimes get terrible caffeine (or rather, "no caffeine") headaches if I wait too long to eat/drink coffee in the morning, so I was a little worried about this. I did really well accountability-wise yesterday - 1500 calories and I went to Aqua Zumba last night, but I then decided to have another meal at 10:00 pm in hopes of preventing some of the side effects. So I went over on calories, but if it prevents some issues this morning, then I'm OK with that. I'm still not hungry, so that's good - but I feel a massive caffeine headache coming on. Took Tylenol at 6:00 am - may have to take some more before I leave for the hospital - but hopefully they'll do the blood tests first so I can end this fast. They said they'd provide a "light breakfast" after the blood testing. Hopefully that will include coffee. And maybe I should take a protein bar along in case the "light breakfast" is something like a donut or muffin....I think that would do me in at that point..

QOTD: I actually just cancelled Netflix. I've been going back and forth about it for about a year. I love all you have access to with it, but we just don't use it enough to justify the cost, even though the cost is reasonable. I watch streaming stuff maybe once a week (if that - sometimes it's more like once or twice a month) - and DVDs will sometimes sit here for a month before I get around to watching them. I may pick it up again when I retire this summer, but as of now, we just aren't using it enough.

2 years 9 months out:

B: ??? (something "light" at the hospital - a protein bar as a backup)

L: ?? (at the hospital - if they send me to the cafeteria, that'll be good - they have a lot of good choices there)

D: chili or tacos

ex: yoga

Morning everyone!

I am getting excited about Easter...I am not religious but my family has strong holiday traditions and this year it is changing a lot since my parents bought a house in Az last year and are now snowbirds late Nov-late April...since Easter is so early this year they will not be back before then and my siblings families and ours are kind of making our own new tradition. My brother's wife just had their first child on Christmas Eve this year, and now we are all kind of family oriented, we want to make sure the kids all get to have time together to be close. We are planning Easter dinner at my sister's house this year (she has the most space and the most kids LOL)...I dont think I will have trouble with the food, I know they are making a ham, my SIL is bringing some kind of potato dish and I will bring a veggie- probably green bean casserole.
We also made a little easter egg hunt for the kids last year and it was super cute, so we are going to do that again...the oldest ones are only 3 so we kind of just toss the eggs in the grass and they run to pick them up lol.

QOTD: I am currently watching Jessica Jones...I love the Marvel series on Netflix, think they did a great job with all of them EXCEPT iron fist, which I think the main actor was poorly cast. he's just not a good actor.
my favorites are Daredevil and Jessica Jones though. (I haven'****ched Punnisher yet but my husband watched it and said it was his favorite)...they all have great actin, sstory lines and great fight scene choreography!
I also binge watched Altered Carbon which was SO GOOD. but my favorite thing on Netflix has to be the original series Sense8...I am SO MAD they canceled it after the last season...I absolutely LOVED that show.

B: egg bite with ham & turkey bacon and a sprinkle of white cheddar
MS: Coffee w/caramel Premier Protein
L: canned chicken/cottage cheese mixture
AS: Baby Bel cheese
D: Chicken w/tikka misala sauce is in the crockpot now. should be nice and shreddy/juicy when i get home!

Good morning! Hope everyone is well today!

accountability: HORRRRRIBLE! Yesterday was a super emotional day and my food choices are a perfect representation of that. I ended up stuffing two truffles, five donut holes, two handfuls of pub mix and a handful of ritz crackers into my gullet yesterday. I know I said that yesterday would be day one back on track buuut I guess it's going to be today instead. So frustrated! I just want to crawl into a hole and pull the hole in behind me LOL!

qotd: hmmm. I feel like I keep watching the same shows over and over. I always love Arrested Development (it's my go-to), Ozark is really good, Big Mouth is hilarious (but I have to say that it's very "inappropriate" and definitely not for everyone), Bloodline is also a good one that I just finished awhile ago.
