Hi hi! Sorry I've been MIA the last few days. I fell off the healthy wagon and I'm trying to get back on track. Feeling pretty ashamed :(

qotd: everyone doesn't fully understand that this is my new normal. My family shows love through food so calorie consumption around them is always a challenge. Especially when a dessert is basically mandatory anytime there's a family event that includes a meal of some sort. It's going to be a continuous challenge for me. Eating around pretty much anyone is a challenge. There's a small handful of close friends who know me well enough to not even mention or take notice of how I eat differently than they do now. Thank god for them! Lol

b- Greek l&f

l- chicken sausage

d- tbd

s- hopefully nothing!

v- patches

e- not getting home till very late so I'm going to skip today :-/

hope everyone has a great day!

Mandi, I've been there, that's why I'm here. Dont feel ashamed. I get angry when I fall off the wagon. Really angry. I think most people here have had an issue at one time or another. In My opinion it is what we learn from those instances that help us achieve success.

I find that coming to OH, reading, posting, participating helps me. You will find people that have been or are going through WLS with you. It helps me to know that I am not alone. OH is a great resource, do not be ashamed, embrace the help and guidance you can receive here. Listen to the vets, I ahve been around long enough now to realize that the vets know what it takes to get to the next level of success. ( 5-10 years post op success).

Thanks! I agree with everything you are saying. It's just so hard to not get down about it. All I want to do is get to goal and stay there. Being an emotional eater in the midst of life shenanigans is making it so hard lol! One day at a time, I guess. Thanks for the pep talk, I needed that :)

Hello Everyone

We have a snow day here but there's no snow yet. Seems like a major waste of a day.

Accountability; on target all day hand so far today

QOTD: I think they understand fairly well. Only my family really know and they are all supportive and seem to get it. Although I think my daughter thinks I should lighten up on the rules a bit but that's just her being her. She is having her own issues with food and seems to project them a bit on to me.
