It sounds like you went to Zaytinya down in Chinatown!

Have a great time in DC :) They are crap at dealing with snow so expect a whole bunch of idiot drivers and be careful. I've been here 10 years and still cannot believe how 3 inches of snow can grind a city to a halt!

Yessss, that's the place. So cute!!!

I know, the drivers are crazy here! Yesterday in the rain they were driving like there are no rules in DC. Thank god we don't drive here. We Uber when it's too wet but even that sometimes it scares me.

Still, I love this city. I wish I could live here.

Good memory, it sure was! Ahhhh, sitting outside on the patio enjoying a meal with you and Gwen and Erin...and today it's a blizzard. Can we go back to that day? (minus my $50 parking ticket!)

Good morning!

I'm doing well, I'm so ready for warmer weather. I would even settle for 10 degrees more and cool instead of cold.

Accountability: I stayed on plan for food. I missed my second walk, I was exhausted after my second half day at work and had a long nap. I'm okay with that, I needed to listen to my body.

QOTD: I'm still at the beginning, but I've had nothing but fantastic support from my family, friends and co-worker. I feel very lucky.

Time since surgery: 3 weeks

B: Skyr Yogurt

MS: Protein Shake

L: Soup + protein powder

D: Leftover Chicken with some sort of sauce (I have 3 or 4 options, I'll choose tonight)

I'm going to be cutting it close with protein, so I may either add an extra half shake or something to eat with my soup.

E: Walking (Two planned walks - morning and afternoon)

HI Everyone!

Popping my head in here. I have been swamped. The house deal is back on and we are going through the approval process and appraisal. We thought it was dead but not. We are purging and giving stuff to charity. My house is 3,000 sq ft on three floors. Lots of stress because I am also busy with work (2 companies). I work a LOT.

QOTD: My family doesn't get why I have had three surgeries. It is ok. It is about me. One of my sisters is convinced it is why I have autoimmune problems. She may be right but she is mean about it. My other sister gets it completely. Most people I know do not understand morbid obesity vs being overweight or even just obese. It is completely different to lost 50 or 90 or even 100 pounds. However, to lose close to 200 pounds or more than half your original weight and go from a BMI of 55 down to 24 or 25 is quite different. Most people I know will talk about how they lost a few pounds by dieting and exercise only. Kudos to them if they can keep it off by running around the block and diet alone.

Many people who are morbidly obese never get to goal or normal BMI no matter how hard they try. I think it is a combination of really slow metabolism, a journey that takes longer and requires more compliance. It is hard to keep trying for multiple years and not reach goal. Not minimizing the journey for those who have less weight to lose but there are more issues associated with greater weight loss, emotional, compliance, plastic surgery etc... OK, off my rant :)

Food for the day:

Coffee

Protein shake

chicken with lettuce, avocado and cucumber

Dinner: Pork with sugar free bbq sauce and cauliflower with cheese

Yogurt low carb

Thats it I think :)

Babs - I have a travel question form you. We are thinking cruise next year. Would appreciate any tips, I would want an all inclusive package and would leave from Port Canaveral as my folks are less than an hour from there.

Any tips are greatly appreciated as we have never been on a cruise.
