I wanted to check in with 2 other things.

First, for you Canadians, I decided to order some Tim Horton's coffee to try it out. I got the Dark Roast and like it. How do you compare Tim Horton's with Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks?

Second, went out and ran the car for a while and managed to chip the ice off the car without too much straining. I wanted to get that layer off before we got all the snow.

Good morning Daisy and menu crew. Happy Hump Day - exciting times as Joddie just accepted a new position at the Hospital - she is currently at the Local University. This job is a huge increase in salary and will be a bonus for me as well as I will no longer have medical taken from my check on a weekly basis, our medical coverage minus deductible will be paid for by her new employer! Yes!

Accountability - I usually plan for adds, and did have a portion of skinny popcorn last night. While the rest of the family was having cookies and milk....I did NOT indulge and was quite pleased with myself. ( somone has to be)LOL

QOTD - Joddie and my family are very supportive. My Mom still tried to please me with food, so we have a deal, she will let me know what she is making and I will tell her how if I am in or if I need something different. I do get the " try just one" , " it wont kill you" ...etc. My friends do not question a thing, quite honestly I think they are all amazed at my will power and success. I try to explain to them the importance of eating a protein forward and am finding more people are trying to eat this way.

Time since surgery - 3 years and 4 months

B - Premier protein shake

S - Fage 0% , blueberries and almond butter

L - Chicken , spinach and mushroom bake.

S - Ham/cream cheese/pickle roll up[

D - NY strip steak

E - gym night - shoulder/biceps/abs - 35 min cardio

Daisy - noticed your mixing it up with the bike....I might try this..Im getting tired of running on a treadmill and need to get outside or change up my routine!!

Stay healthy my friends, Mike

Good morning. Made it to the pool and my leg didn't kill me from my stupid tearing skin off incident from the other day - ah! I'm relaxed enough to listen to the news this morning. Accountability continues to improve, so I'm very happy. Each day I remove something I don't want to continue. Other than adding about 15 peanuts to my Asian dinner last night - I was spot on. My wife asked me to buy her Culver's for dinner last night (butter burger place for those who don't have one). This historically has been a weak spot or a slippery place for me. My old self loved to get a large shake and a large special custard of the day whenever I "happened" to drive by (I "happened" to drive by a lot in the old days). There is almost nothing I can eat there on my plan. So I just ducked my head when I passed the flavor of the day board and made her order. I then went home and ate on plan. Yippie! I really was a little worried, but said I wanted to get back to only on plan eating and that wasn't going to help. This was especially good because yesterday was a tough day at work. So I'm feeling pretty good for accountability.

QOTD - no one gets this weight loss mode, not even DW. She still buys like I eat to support 500 pounds, not so much the carbs - just the portions. I do most of my own shopping and cooking, but occasionally she'll be at the store and I'll ask her to buy 1/3 pound of ham for me and she picks up a pound. She doesn't like ham. Oh well - the dogs in my house eat very well, as you might have guessed. The best was last week she bought about 1.5 pounds of already cooked lamb. I just laughed when I said - who's coming over. She said - Oh, I forgot to adjust my order down, but I'll just freeze some. The freezer is getting pretty full ;)

B - 2 scrambled eggs (seeing about cutting out the turkey bacon to lower protein, fat and cals a bit)

S - Fage with .5 oz nuts

L - 3 oz chicken and small salad (mustard and vinegar as dressing)

S - Cheese .7 oz

D - Last of the Asian brisket salad

S - SF popsicles

HW 510 / SW 424/ GW 175 (stretch goal to get 10 under) / CW 160 (I'm near the charts ideal weight - wonder if I can stay here)

G'morning all!

its SNOWING in DC. I am so excited. I know...I know, some of you folks can't stand the winter any more but for me who hadn't seen the snow this year it's BEAUTIFUL!! And as a bonus classes are all cancelled so I have DD all to myself for the whole day. We will start by going out to brk and then we'll hit as many museums as we can. I'm a happy mama!!

QOTD: my immediate family (husband and kids) are totally supportive. They keep reminding me to be careful with the pouch. For example these days out of town when I talk to DH he always asks how's the pouch doing? LOL My mom is also very supportive but she is so far (Italy) that doesn't affect my day to day. Friends, those who know, don't comment on my food. They are just happy I am happy.

Accountability: all good until dinner last night. We went to this middle eastern restaurant and although I ate protein forward I have a feeling there was too much hummus and babaganoush along with this cloud like fluffy bread!!!Today is a new day!

Menu: TBD but I'll stick to protein.

Now I'm gonna go out & play in the snow!

Happy hump day!
