I never went above 800 calories during the weight loss phase and I believe there are quite a few others who were at the same level.

I am by no means an expert to advise you but I think we are relatively close in starting weight and surgery dates and I can tell you that I have not hit a real stall yet (5 weeks out) but my loss has slowed down significantly (about 2-3lbs/week since week 2). I did stop losing for about 4 days around week 3 but once i hit week 4 and was allowed to add more soft foods, I think it helped to trigger something in my digestion maybe? I keep waiting for the stall to hit and I know it will eventually but I can tell you what is working for me...
I'm definitely keeping it low carb and tracking everything in MFP...haven't started exercising yet (cleared to start next week) but my NUT said that calories shouldn't be a factor yet, just to focus on the protein especially if you're going to be exercising. Adding some soft cooked veggies may help too. I try to add at least one serving of low-carb veggies into my day somewhere. I think it also adds some fiber to help digestion.

Yup I'm tracking everything in MFP too, staying below 30 carbs and those carbs are coming from dairy, and maybe some sauces (spaghetti sauce, hot sauce). I haven't been cleared for vegetables, but I think I will at my 6 week follow up.

it's normal. My three-week stall lasted two weeks. NYMom's lasted 3.5 weeks, as I recall

Yeah I've seen a few say that their stalls lasted longer and I just didn't want to be one of those long stallers!

My stall lasted 3 ½ weeks it was a ***** especially when you are first out and eating basically nothing. I think it help me mentally because I didn't take future stalls so hard. This too shall pass.

Part of me just doesn't want to go to my 6 week appointment weighing the same I weighed at my 2 week follow up (which was late due to scheduling and occurred right when I started stalling in week 3). I know it's a fairly shallow reason but...shrug

Not shallow at all, totally get it. My best advice for stalls is just change up your good choices and eat some fat. We need that too.

Good Morning!! Yesterday was an ok day but my stomach was a bit unhappy so I think I'm going to stick to some easily digested foods today.

Accountability: the deli meat I had in the morning didn't agree so I made some swaps with an additional string cheese. Ended up about 60 calories higher than planned but also 10g more protein so at least it was balanced.

QOTD: I have the best sister in the world and she just can't get past the malabsorption aspect, I've walked her through all the vitamins; I've shown her this thread so she can see what people who are not 5 week out eat but she's just worried anyway.

Time since surgery: 5 weeks!

B - protein cafe au lait (4 oz fairlife skim + 8 oz coffee)

S - .5 PP

L - .5PP

S- Protein 20 water

D - Chobani non-fat

Totals - 494 calories, 89 Protein, 22 Carbs

V - I went to bed so early last night and forgot my evening multi & calcium chew but have taken today's morning dose.

E - 45M treadmill walk
