Good morning everyone~ We are in for some serious rain for the next few days. There are heavy rains and mudslide warnings in my area and they are evacuating the recent burn areas as well. This is when I absolutely hate my commute.
Accountability - good - stayed on plan w/ a few extra protein snacks in my attempt to ward off carb withdraw and nasty headaches.
QOTD - Yes, RH - a few weeks ago at a get together with family, there were these super decadent brownie bites and I had way too many. A few hours later, I started seeing spots, sweating profusely, shaking, heart pounding, dizzy, my stomach ached like you would not believe. I remember reading on here to eat peanut butter crackers and I tried but I was so tired and shaking so bad it was quite difficult and they made me feel worse. I just wanted to lay down with a fan blowing on me and pray for sleep. Ugh.
16 mo post op - 171.1 - down .7 from yesterday.
B- coffee w/HC and splenda, 2 hard boiled eggs
l-hot Italian sausage w/marinara and parm
d-eggs w/ mushrooms
v/l on track
Have a great day!!

Sounds like that was latent dumping. Food will relieve RH. Dumping you just have to ride it out.

I thought because it 2 or 3 hours later that it wasn't dumping. Maybe it was both? I will read more about it now, thank you!

No there are two timings for dumping- the immediate usually within a half hour and the latent which is 2-3 hours.

Good morning,
My knee has been hurting since yesterday, making it hard to exercise and get my steps in.
Qotd never had but I had vsg
Accountability I didn't have much lasagna leftover so I had some cabbage.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D corned beef, cabbage and carrots
Have a good day
Good morning :)
I'm late to the party this morning because I attended a class on gestational diabetes. We were taught how to use the glucometers to check our blood sugar. I don't have GD at this point but I will need to test this way since I can't do the glucose sensitivity test -- drinking sugar water with 50g of glucose.
QOTD: I haven't had any bad RH episodes but I dumped the day after our wedding when I ate most of a piece of our wedding cake. I got the sweats and had to sleep it off. No dumping since then. Now I have to be careful because I'm even more sensitive to sugar than before. Half an apple can be too much at times.
Post-op three years.
Breakfast - Greek yogurt
Snack - cheese and crackers
Snack/lunch - protein bar
Snack - beef and veg
Dinner - beef and steamed veggies
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Good Morning Daisy & Menu Family!
Sorry I missed posting yesterday and over the weekend. My computer is dying! I am trying to use Saralisa's old laptop right now until I get my desk top computer fixed and I'm struggling with her laptop because it doesn't have a mouse and it's unfamiliar to me.
QOTD: No RH or dumping, thank goodness.
Accountability: I've been doing pretty well. Can't report my totals, though, because they are on the other computer.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: ham & cheese on 45 calorie bread
D: microwave meal
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana, light & fit Greek yogurt, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups
E: taking Blossom for a walk around the subdivision if it quits snowing
Have a Great day everyone!
