My lunch elliptical time is pretty low key and I read so it's good for my mental health.

Morning!

Checking in a little late. I stayed up late talking a friend through a not so fun situation. So I over slept by several hours! Oops.

Quotd: I've had also sorts of strange food. The weirdest was probably chicken feet-claws still present. I've also had roasted worms. They are a street food staple where I lived. Testicles, hearts, livers, intestines, eyeballs--all were on the table. And lots of gazelle and kudu, which is actually so so good! I wish I could get my hands on it in the states. It makes the best steaks and jerky.

M: my stomach is feeling not so great today, so I'm not really sure. Maybe have a light day and just do some bone broth and if I need something solid I'll have a pack of tuna.

good morning everyone!

My Saturday was pretty full...took my daughter to dance class and then I had my 1 month follow up with the Nutritionist which went well. She basically told me I was doing everything right and keep it up, gave me some great info on vitamins and lists of how much/what type to take and when (I've been taking one brand but wanted to try something different because I gag at the taste of them)...so it was very helpful.
She also said I can have COFFEE again (Just one cup a day) so I am pretty excited LOL.
Then I went grocery shopping, and took my 3 year old daughter shopping for an Easter dress and she loved getting to try on all the pretty dresses. it was adorable. I let her pick her favorite (not my favorite but it was still very cute).
We also spent about $100 extra on stuff from Sam's club but I know it will be worth while in the end, just a blow to this week's budget!
Sunday my husband woke up with a terrible cold so he slept most of the day and the little one and I just lounged around, did some laundry, did some food prep, etc. I made a bunch of "egg bites" in my muffin pan over the weekend and froze them for breakfasts- they are really good and super convenient for me to bring to work.

QOTD: I don't think I've tried a whole lot of weird stuff. I had alligator once, it was OK. I've had other game meats like deer and bison, had rabbit, etc but I don't really think those are too weird.

B: egg bite w/ham, cheddar and turkey bacon
MS: coffee w/ caramel Premier protein
L: chicken salad made w/cottage cheese
AS: baby bel cheese
D: started the crock pot before I left - "stuffed cabbage" casserole (basically just ground beef, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, onions and some cider vinegar/seasonings)

Good morning everyone~ I'm back at it today. I'm feeling ready to tackle this re gain and get back to normal. Thank you all for the support last week - it really meant a lot.

We've been having a lot of cold, cloudy and rainy weather here and it's fine by me! It means I can wear my sweaters and boots that much longer. I do agree with you about the sun though - it feels amazing.

QOTD - The only thing that comes to mind is a boyfriend - also from 20's - trying to get me to eat rattlesnake he had caught/cooked, uh, no. He was also the guy that took me to sushi for the first time and I wouldn't eat it, it freaked me out but mostly I couldn't get past the gobs of roe on top of all the raw whatever... I love sushi now though!

Good morning everyone. I'm finally home and in my own bed after spending the weekend at my parents place post op. Not really having any pain, just some mild irritation at the drain site. Doing pretty well for 6 days out. Yesterday I got in two protein drinks, a yogurt and about 50oz water. Not bad for the first few days post op.

QOTD: my grandparents on my moms side where farmers and I vaguely remember being fed cows tongue once. I refused to eat it. Never again!

B: protein drink

L: chobani smooth yogurt ( I really like the plain one)

D: protein drink

E: just walking
