What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Morning weekenders! Happy St-Patrick's day!
ive been MIA all week, but for good reasons. After a great weekend with family, my sister in law decided to come stay with us for a few days before heading back to Germany this weekend, so my downtime was filled with entertaining and snuggling my niece.
Work is great, one of the temps I hired before Christmas accepted a permanent position, so I can finally relax a little at work.
Whats everyone doing this weekend? I'm going out for st-paddys breakfast at a pub, and hanging out with friends until they get annoying to sober me hahahhaha.
qotd: what's the luckiest thing that's happened to you? I mean silly, fluky, luck. My husband and I once found 80$ literally tumbling down the street once while on vacation. Just a bunch of twenties rolling around with no other people to be seen. I literally looked around for cameras, as I was sure it was a sketch bit hahah.
I also won a job once at a job fair. That was exciting!
menu: no idea honestly. But protein forward.
have a good one!

Happy St Patrick's Day! Thank you for the birthday wishes yesterday and I loved everyone's before/after pictures (as always)! I had a good and weird birthday. I went to a gorgeous beach and restaurant on the sand for lunch with SIL. Then I had dinner alone at a beachside bar...
QOTD: By far the luckiest thing was being chosen by our children's birthparents. It is still a miracle that they came to us (30 and 27 years ago).
1 year, 11.5 months post-op
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Irish boiled dinner
S: Irish bread (just once a year)

Good morning
Happy St Patrick's Day!!
My friends grandson came over and spent the night. He kept asking to go home but didn't cry so I just kept distracting him, he finally went to sleep at 3 am. He's 4 years old.
Qotd when I won grand champion of our baton twirling contest. I was twirling two batons and was obese at the time.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D corned beef, cabbage and carrots
Have a good day
Morning!
Your week with your family and niece sound lovely!
So I ordered a goal shirt yesterday. It's from Obese to Beast's clothing shop. He's a YouTuber that's had a major impact on me. The shirt is says Obese to Beast in big letters. I want to distress itvabd make it look a bit more feminine. I'll probs only wear it to the gym, still excited!
QOTD: honestly, the luckiest fluff thing is probably that just yesterday I won an air fryer. So excited!
M:
- Beef stick
- ham

edit: woah- I just re read this. Man, can you tell I wrote it right after I got up and was still laying groggy in bed? Haha sorry for the non coherent words!
Mornin'!
Feeling a bit out of it this morning after getting that Reclast infusion yesterday afternoon. Achy, flu-like, slight headache. My chest also hurts, but it's muscular-skeletal - but I should probably call my doctor's office just in case. Chills last night, but now I'm hot. Ugh. I hope this doesn't last long. I was going to go to a movie with my mom this afternoon (DH is in Milwaukee today), but not sure how I'll be feeling. I never get sick, so I'm being kind of a baby about this...
QOTD: I can't really think of one specific thing - I mean, I don't think I've ever won anything or anything like that. I've had a pretty satisfying like, though, so I guess that's lucky!
2 years 9 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce
not sure what else - I may just go really easy to day and have a lot of easily digestable things, like yogurt, cottage cheese, protein shakes...
I'm sorry you are having some ickieness after your Reclast infusion. I had my infusion just a few days after we spoke a couple weeks ago. Since we both are on the same schedule I'll be sure to check in with you next year to see how you are doing. Hopefully there won't be any after effects for you the next time.

thanks! Feeling a bit better tonight, but still have chest pains. I went to the ER this morning (my doctor's office told me to go). They did an EKG, x-ray, and bloodwork - nothing. It wasn't my heart. He agreed that it was probably related to the muscle achiness. Hopefully this will be gone by tomorrow! Most of it has cleared up quite a bit - it's just the chest pains.
Good morning! I started the day by having my cat scratch the ever living crap out of my face because she jumped on my pillow trying to "catch" some headlight beams that were moving across the wall...two days before I go back to work and rejoin the public and I look like I was in a knife fight. I know she wasn't trying to be vicious so I'm not mad at HER.
no real plans for St Paddy's day. I normally would make corned beef and cabbage, but I didn't buy a roast this year. Maybe I'll pick up some corned beef lunch meat lol. I, Tonya is available for rent on Amazon, so we migh****ch that tonight.
qQotd: mine is about finding money too! I'm a fireworks/4th of July enthusiast and a couple years ago we were walking to a little fireworks stand that was set up a couple blocks from our house. I looked down and DH had something stuck to his foot. Thinking it was just a piece of litter, I went to step on it to pull it off his shoe--it was a $100 bill. Blew it all at the fireworks stand :) (nobody was around to claim it and it was really dirty so it hadn't been recently dropped)
Breakfast: one piece of bacon and one scrambled egg. I ended up not having bacon yesterday, but darn it, today bacon is happening!
MS: protein shake
lunch: maybe just some cottage cheese or yogurt. I've been sleeping later since I'm not working and my eating schedule has been weird so I've been forgetting lunch.
dinner: 1/4 C taco meat (turkey) with cheese and sour cream

Good morning, everyone! Happy Saint Patrick's day! Just woke up and I'm trying to be verrry quiet. Hubby was out on call all night last night. I felt so bad for him! He'd finish up at one place and be heading home and then he'd get another call and have to go off to another spot. I don't even know what time he finally got to sleep. Hoping he won't get any calls today.
qotd: I guess I'd have to say winning $275 on a quarter slot machine. I'm really not huge on gambling to be honest, but my mom is and she took me to Vegas for my 21st birthday. It was kind of one of those "when in Rome" situations... And then I spent it all on shoes lol!
other than corned beef, I have no idea what I'm doing today. Most likely going to have a Greek yogurt, some jerky or pork rinds, a protein shake with coffee for breakfast. Everything else is up in the air.
hope everyone is having a good weekend!
Day 4 post revision to RNY. Doing well. Once my surgeon was in there he also found a hiatal hernia and repaired that. There was also a lot of adhesions from my first surgery so he also took care of those. Pain is better today and walking around the farm every few hours to help with the gas.
QOTD: we where at a water park once floating around in the lazy river and a bunch of $20 bills floated by. Wanna say it was about $120 bucks. No one else was around us.
Menu: just sipping on water and protein shakes all day.
