What's on your Menu today today (Photo Friday)
Thank you! I'm really trying. I still haven't gotten to goal and I'm terrified that I never will. I've already had one good cry about it today lol! I told myself that I am going to weigh those darn pork rinds because they go down waaay too easy and my calories add up so fast. I've been doing CAMAW for almost two weeks now and I just can't get the scale to go down
Hi!
Sorry I've been off a few days. I missed the reading and interacting on here, but I took my family to Kalahari water park in Sandusky. It had a partial closure of the park due to a piece of duct work collapsing on some attractions, so the rates were cut in half for us to enjoy the rest of the park. It was a great time. I rocked the wetsuit the whole time, and I'm glad I did. It wasn't as warm in there as I'd have liked, and since I'm frozen all the time it helped. I was busily reading all of the ride signs, and was able to go on everything without being remotely close to the weight limit. That alone kept a big stupid grin on my face, but the kids really loved seeing Dad jump in there with them. I did the "flow rider" surfing ride, something which I'd NEVER have tried at 391 lbs or even 300. All other slides and rides amounted to a lot of fun in 3 days. I behaved food-wise (mostly, lol) and the scale reflected that. It was about 1200 feet from our room to the waterpark, so I walked a lot in addition to climbing the stairs on the rides. My wife was able to relax in the spa for a bit while we monkeyed around, and joined us later for some of the tamer stuff. My kids discovered that Dad has a little crazy side when it comes to thrill rides, and I discovered that I can now outrun both of them. My brother-in-law was running alongside me (he's about 150 lbs and lean) and couldn't pass me. His words, I was a race-horse. In reality, had the race been much more than the 1000' length of the sidewalk, I'd have been dead. LOL
Menu: On point with my norm. I've got my 1-year appointment next week (almost a month late, but that's just a schedule thing). I'm trying to go even harder with the protein diet and slam down a few more pounds.
QOTD: I definitely can't shop. My brain picks out the wrong sizes all the time. I'm in a medium gym short now, and a "Large" t-shirt (which is still kinda loose-ish) and it took forever to realize that at the store. I've tried on a medium shirt and it's not quite there, but close. I can't fathom that yet. It messes with my head a lot.
Even with the running thing. I ran in high school for football, and that was the last time I did. This week with the kids, goofing around, I started out kinda horsing around with a jog, pretending to race them. When it didn't immediately ache (as in, trying to run at 391 lbs did) I tried a little faster. Then I took off like a shot, and my balance was fine. I figured for sure I would trip or fall over, because I was doing something new. I can't describe how exhilarating it was to be running full tilt with people behind me that couldn't catch me. Still can't really grasp that.
I am on my phone and always miss replying to someone, so wanted to comment here. Great job everyone. It makes me proud that we are all in this together. I am thankful to have a place to learn and discuss WLS, you are all very inspiring , on good and bad days as we all have them. Happy Friday!

I expressed it to my husband and now hes worried and feels like I need to see someone about it. Late post from me. I'd hate to miss before and After photo Friday!
Qotd: I think I've gotten past body image/dysmorphia issues. I see the size/shape I am. I'm not bothered by loose skin- quite frankly my skin has held up pretty damn nicely. I don't always see myself at 330#, but I have moments I see myself at certain angles where I'm like whoa- flashback!!

Love them all!
qotd: ugh I'm all over the place on this one. I still have brief moments of wondering if ill fit in a booth etc.
This week I went to the banana republic outlet and I grabbed a stack of dress pants to try on. Everything I grabbed was size 12 and 14. And they were all too big... I actually sat there confused about what to do next. Hahaha uhhh grab some size 10s lady!! I have a pair of 8s, but they are stretchy jegging type jeans, so in my head, they didn't count.
But at the same time, I grabbed a jean jacket to try on and it was too small. I guess my boobs aren't as disappeared as I thought lol!
So tricky!
I haven't taken any pics recently, but here's one of me campimg in 2016, and from a recent selfie from February!
