Good morning Daisy and menu folks, protein pals, Bariatric Buddies, Weight Loss Warriors! That just sucks regarding your co worker. No one should have to endure bullying. People need to be educated that it is OK to speak up and that when you do it becomes evident that many others feel the same thing from the offender.

Accountability - I recently posted how well I have been doing, well, since I have posted it doesnt feel like I am . Handfuls of goldfish and almonds last night.

QOTD - Oh...sweet tooth. I love little debbie, mrs freshly, my favorite were the cheap brownies that leave a coating of grease on the roof of your mouth when you eat them....ah....I am almost missing them....

B - Deviled eggs

S - Fage 0% with blueberries and almond butter

L - left over meatloaf

S - Buddig meat

D - Chili

E - I am going to run and and do chest/biceps. I am going to skip legs the balance of my training. I have some serious veins showing in my calves and thighs due to my lifting and I think I am going to tone back...I am not a body builder but have crazy legs...I wish my chest and biceps could catch up....

Stay healthy my friends - My song today - Nothin But a good time - Poison!

Good morning! I'm taking a rest day from the gym, as I've been walking a mile or more on the treadmill every day and my knee is hurting.

Qotd: I loved baked goods, soft baked cookies and brownies especially. But my biggest comfort was a huge plate of nachos with all the trimmings. On nights when DH was gone, I'd go to the store and buy chips, meat for taco meat, refried beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, black olives, and green onions...

breakfast: bit of a leftover pork loin chop. (I swapped my dinner choice last night). They were super tender cuts and I had marinated them as well. So good!

MS: protein shake

lunch: I still have some leftover cheeseburger

finner: maybe I'll grill up some Italian sausages? We'll see.

Before surgery, when hubby was out of town (which was/is often lol), I would go through the drive thru of a local burger joint and order the nachos AND a big greasy cheeseburger with a fried egg on top. I'd eat it all and then I'd be hungry again about an hour later.

I had the opposite problem--I'd eat it all and make myself over full and miserable and sick for the rest of the night. And then I'd beat myself up about doing that to myself

good morning everyone!

I had my 1 month post-op appointment yesterday, my surgeon wasn't there but I saw his PA and she was super nice and basically told me I was doing everything right and to keep doing what I'm doing and I can start trying some more dense foods.
I am also cleared to swallow pills now so no more crushing and next month when I get my vitamins I can do whole ones instead of chewables (Thank God- those chalky nasty things make me gag every time!). I can start exercize (besides walking) in 2 weeks so I am starting to look for some videos and things I can do in my living room at home on Prime TV or Netflix...if anyone knows of a good one please let me know!
I have an elliptical so I can always do that but I want to change it up and do some strengthening things too.

QOTD: I definitely have to say pretty much everything others have said could be me at one point in time...I loved my baked goods too, mostly muffins and cakes, pastries, etc.
my most common late night binge though would have either been a giant bowl of Ice cream (with all kinds of toppings- peanuts, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, peanut butter)- i'd eat half the container in one sitting. I would also sometimes stop at a drive through and get cheeseburgers and eat them on my way home so nobody knew. I could eat a huge steak burrito in one sitting or half a large pizza...my husband and I would order 2 large pizzas for the 2 of us and our 3 yr old (who eats one slice) and probably only have a half a pizza leftover afterwards.
My "movie snack" was never popcorn- I could care less about it- I loved pretzels with peanut butter...and could eat them nonstop.

brings me to my peanut butter experience yesterday- I had about a tablespoon of peanut butter yesterday afternoon and pretty sure I had late dumping from it around 3:30 (right when I was leaving to go to my doctor's appointment) I was super nauseous, clammy, overall just disgusting feeling for about an hour.
I have had peanut butter since surgery before and it didn't do that to me, but I cant think of anything else that might have caused it.
probably for the best since Peanut butter is probably a trigger for me.
I do have some PB fit that is probably going to be my best friend...it's great in shakes & mixed into puddings but not so great to spread on things or eat by itself LOL.

B: 1 egg omelette with tbsp of leftover turkey taco meat and american cheese, dollop of sour cream

MS: caramel premier protein

L: sliced deli turkey w/provolone & avocado

AS: baby bel cheese

D: not sure yet. leftover something again...we still need to learn how to cook less at a time!

hi all

late post for me- could not sleep woke up at 1- watched tv all night then ate plan items but off plan... i didnt go bezerk into DH's chocolate but ate a fitjoy bar, quest chips and some mr cheese o'h. i think my PPI prescription being out was causing issue with me not sleeping.

took my first meeting then laid back down to be woken by roofers pounding on roof and yelling.

food for today

not sure really what would be good my chest/back hurt from acid and nothing sounds good

QOTD: pancakes, waffles, chocolate, marshmallows, peanut butter, fried pies, cupcakes, coconut stuff, mcdonalds fries (now they taste like poo), all potatoes for that matter. and LOVED just cooked pasta with nothing on it.

Hello Everyone,

Now that my life is calming down a bit I should be here more often.. certainly need to be. I'm so inspired by reading what everyone is doing and all the struggles we face are easier to do with company! I thought I'd posted yesterday and it didn't show up so hopefully this will!

Accountability: Yesterday was my birthday so I planned on indulging and I did... so I guess it's good I planned it even though I didn't eat what I normally do.

QOTD: I was a huge junk food junkie, candy, pastry of any kind, chips, dip... you name it. It's what got me where I was. When I was happy I ate, sad I ate, lonely I ate.. you name it. Everything was an excuse. I'm struggling with that in maintenance but I'm working on it! I just came out of a stressful time at work and I certainly wasn't a St and I'm a couple of pounds more than I'd like right now but I'm pretty proud that I have let go and blown it all as I might have in the past.
