What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Mornin' All!
No meetings or other scheduled things today, so I may work remotely a chunk of the day (I say this all the time, and then go into my office after an hour or two because I start to lose focus and go nuts!). Massage this afternoon at 4:30 - YAY!! Feeling pretty sore today because it was the Wed night Aqua Zumba instructor's last night. She said she was going to kick our butts so we'd remember her. She delivered!
QOTD: pizza and smoothies. My husband and I used to either go out or do carry-out pizza about once a week, when we got home late or didn't feel like cooking. We'd get a large and split it. Sometimes we'd get cheese bread to go with it. Good Lord. RE: smoothies - that was my go-to breakfast for *years*. I'd put in a banana, a peach or two or a cup of melon or two (fresh or frozen), and berries. Yogurt or tofu for my protein. Milk or orange juice to get it all going. Some cinnamon for more flavor. I *loved* them. Lots of vitamins and fiber - definitely. But tons of calories and sugar.
2 years 9 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, 2 T Crio Bru grounds, 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1 T cherry butter
MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake
L: if at work, 1 C cottage cheese. If at home, turkey taco meat with lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, plain Greek yogurt
AS: crustless protein pumpkin pie (can't believe how long it's been since I've had this!)
D: pork chop with cherry/cranberry sauce, Asian cole slaw
ex: may head to the gym in a few and do 30 minutes on the cross trainer
Good morning,
Sorry about your coworker Daisy.
Ive been up since before 330 am. I've had 3 cups of coffee so far. I forgot to take my medication last night, didn't realize it till I took my morning medication. Going to be a long day.
Qotd I ate a lot of fast food and pizza. I could eat a large pizza by myself.
Accountability had strawberry smashed up with Splenda and whipped topping at dinner
Lots of coffee
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D keto lasagna and some pudding
Have a good day
G?morning Menu peeps!! How?s everybody?
Daisy - that?s disgraceful. I guess we never learn, not even with age. How can grown adults bully each other? Jeesh!!!
QOTD: icecream, any kind of pastry, chocolate and cookies. These are my kryptonites. I used to go to starbucks order a drink and 2-3 pastries as if I?m ordering for coworkers. Or I used to make banana bread at home but eat the WHOLE LOAF before anybody got home. My family never knew my recipe made two loaves! I would eat whole box of cookies in the car coming home from grocery store and would get rid of evidence before pulling into the garage. Wow...looking back I sure was behaving like a food addict. And I can never have these things in moderation.
Today I?m meeting with the surgeon for my 9 months checkup. Hopefully he won?t be disappointed. I was hoping to be at 90 lbs loss for my 9 months, although technically I have 11 more days to lose these 3 lbs.
B: skipping it because I gotta weigh in at the dr?s
L: hard boiled eggs and brussel sprout
S: cheese
D: TBD
E: weight training day - 60 minutes
It?s almost Friday!!

Morning DD and OHer's, happy Thursday! So sorry about the bullying incident at work... people can be so strange. I'm not sure I would understand the work environment now... I not sure I've ever worked anywhere with an HR department! very much sounds like a good thing especially for a timid person but it also sounds like it can be used as a 'tool' like in Liz's case.... hmmm I'm so from a different era...
QOTD my food of choice would be homemade bread...warm from the oven..with butter melting into my slice...darn...or popcorn...with butter...ok I thought about it...just about anything with butter(not chips though)... sweet tasting things are definitely not my forte...
B 2 hb eggs, 1 bacon
L early dinner.. Chinese food...soup and wings for me(its our 49th Anniversary so soup is my splurge)
D were bringing dessert to a game night in the cabana...I don't plan on eating any of the food so I'll bring a Volpi (thank you kakesie)
Have a great day everyone one.
Mmm fresh bread. When I lived in Lesotho Africa, we would have the tastiest, dense, fresh bread with butter ever single morning. It was my favorite. Thinking about it still makes me drool. Lol
Good morning :)
Shopping in the states yesterday was fun. I didn't buy as much as usual because I haven't been using up as much stuff lately. I've stopped drinking flavoured water -- I guess my tastes have changed a bit lately because I've been preferring plain water (weird!!). I got a new purse and socks. The rest was just groceries. My brother and his fiancee bought a bunch of matching stuff which is cute.
Today we have a few things to pick up at the grocery store to make dinner and then I'm going with my mom to pick out new glasses for her. She also bought a new dress yesterday which is awesome because she rarely buys new things for herself. With three extra people my house feels stuffed and overwhelming, but it is nice to see everyone.
QOTD: my addiction is/was chocolate -- my biggest trigger was chocolate covered almonds. I actually bought a huge bag to eat as my last meal before starting opti. I didn't ever end up eating any of them because we impulsively bought our first puppy that night and I was so distracted by getting her checked and settled that I ran out of time. I ended up giving the bag to my grandparents to share. I love chocolate of any kind and now I tend to eat a chocolate protein bar as my treat. Sweets - chocolate and baked goods, but not candies (so weird) are the only things I really can binge on.
Post-op three years.
Breakfast - Greek yogurt, banana
Snack - protein bar
Lunch - leftover sausage
Snack - apple and pb
Dinner - mom's chicken casserole
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Good morning!
Accountability: went over calories again! All pure protein though.
qotd: everything! I am an emotional eater, and anytime I felt pretty much anything, I would reach for food to comfort me. I still struggle with it regularly. My favorites were/are anything carby with cheese (pizza, nachos, pretzels, pasta etc) and anything sugary and baked (cake, cupcakes, brownies, cookies etc)... I hate that this is always going to be something that I battle, but learning to spot my triggers and deal with them instead of covering them up by eating them away has been very good for me. I will be honest though, there are days when I don't post because I'm too embarrassed to admit to my food addict relapses.
b- coffee, egg whites with Parmesan
l- tbd. Maybe just syntrax
d- chicken sausage links
s1- venison jerky
s2- Greek l&f
v- patches
e- high in line treadmill
have a good one, my friends!
Good Morning and Happy Friday-Eve. How horrible to have to find out that there is bullying going on and that is why your co worker left. I know it's too late for that person but I hope the issue is taken care of so it doesn't happen to someone else. All the talk about service providers yesterday and we get home and our internet was down. Hubby called Xfinity and they had him go to the local store to pick up a new router and that didn't work so now a technician needs to come out-I think I am taking 1/2 day off tomorrow to deal with that.
QOTD: I was definitely a baked goods person...cake, cookies, donuts, toast.oh and cereal. Hostess and I were pretty good friends.

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
