What's on your menu today(Wednesday) RNYers?
I love Hulu. I never watch shows on networks. I watch them either on Hulu (they usually come out the day after) or wait for the whole season on Netflix. If you like a certain show check and see if they have it on Hulu. I've been dying to watch Castle but for some reason the network is not selling it to Netflix or Hulu.

Good morning,
My friends grandson bday was yesterday so I went over to celebrate with him so I had a small piece of pizza, cake and ice cream. Before the celebration, he wanted to come over, him and his cousin came over but they didn't want to go home. He was in my fridge and almost spilled a whole picture of crystal light so I raised my voice at him that sent him off crying and hiding. Finally got them out the door, I apologized to him but he still wouldn't stop crying. His mom and grandma just laughed. He told me I couldn't come over anymore, I smiled at him and said really. Later on he was back playing with me.

Hi Everyone!!
Lots of stuff happening here at my house. My husband and I decided to sell our house and move to a mountain cabin in Ellijay GA. We are in due diligence now and while doing research, found out there is only one internet service provider and the internet coverage is 1/7 of what I have now which is fiber optic to my house with AT&T vs something far less but adequate for our work at home related needs. It is expensive since it is a monopoly out there but something that cannot be avoided. We are moving in May.!!!
Food for the day:
Low carb yogurt and PB powder
Tuna and salad
cheese sticks and ham
Dinner: Turkey and veggies
Snack in evening: probably another low carb yogurt
Babs in GA

good morning peeps, and happy hump day.
My husband just got scheduled for his RNY for May 7th so I am excited! He is not the type to plan ahead at all but I am an over-planner (I make at least 3 lists per day) so we kind of balance eachother out--also why I did my surgery first because I wanted to make sure he understood what he was getting himself into. I felt very prepared and have not had any real problems so I am hoping it goes smoothly for him as well. He is diabetic and takes about 6 different meds so he really needs this surgery to help him get healthy.
QOTD: When we bought our house about 2 years ago we decided not to have cable TV because we have a 3 year old and even when we can watch TV it's always kids shows. We do have Cable internet through Comcast/Xfinity simply because the fastest and any time we have tried other service we are disappointed even if it does cost half the amount. We do love our electronics, but it is definitely overpriced. We have Amazon prime (lots of shows and movies) and Netflix, and my daughter does love watching her shows on there. My husband's cell service is through Cricket because it's the cheapest reliable service for unlimited everything, and Mine is through Verizon because my Dad used to work for them (retired last year) and he gets a discount so my parents/sister/brother and I are all bundled together in a family plan and my portion is just $40/month. I will keep it that way as long as I can! I've never had a problem with Verizon's speed or service.

Things have been very sad here. My birthday trip started good, but then my world changed yet again . My brother who is a year younger than myself, told our family he had a virus and felt bad that was on Wednesday. We have a group siblings text and they were wishing me a happy birthday. Then on Thursday, my sister-in-law started texting us that my brother had gotten worse and she took him to the hospital.
So as it turned out, he had the flu which caused pneumonia and he went down so fast there was nothing the Drs could do. He died hours later. I feel so badly for my brother's wife and children. My husband can't fly so we have to drive to California for the svc. We've always flown before, but now we can't. Not looking forward to the drive.
I did go off plan for the 1st few says, but now feel strong enough to get back on plan. I'm going to try to work hard on staying on plan but not sure how bad this is going to get at my brother's svc. Prayers appreciated.

We plan on driving 700 miles a day, so should take us 4 days. We had plans to drive the Lincoln hwy when retired. But that, was going to be for fun. Now each day will get me closer to the funeral. Not looking forward to that. But it will be good to be with family to reminisce. Thanks for the thoughts.
