Hey folks! Mid-week check in from your favorite fruit pie :-P I was up early today, did an extra run in honor of Pi day-- 3.14 miles. My soul is tempted to bake the sweet potato pie I have in the freezer, but I'm sure I'll lose that desire as they day goes on.

Accountability: So while I like my treat of the month plan, and it works for me in terms of managing the not good for you stuff- its not leaving me where I want to be weight wise. I like my BMI hovering between 31 and 32, and I just edged into 33. So I need to modify my plan in some fashion. I don't think it necessarily causing me to gain-- this creep into the 33 BMI is the result of an illogical overnight gain, but I'm just not hovering in the range I prefer to be in. So I'm gonna brainstorm to modify it in some manner.

QOTD: Nope I don't bundle phone, internet and cable. I did one with Verizon and ended with a horrendous bill that neither Verizon or I could make sense of. I STILL receive a bill monthly from verzion for part of it- its been at least 10 years, and I refuse to pay it. Internet/cable is one provider, cell phone is another provider. We've been with Sprint so long they don't even offer the calling plan we are in anymore-- they are always trying to get us to switch plans-- but we refuse, its an oldie but a goodie.

2.10 year out, 210 today

M1: 2 eggs, fried, cheese and 2.5 oz ham

M2: greek yogurt, berries, granola

M3: Pork chop

M4: ?? no dinner plan

Good Morning! Yesterday was crazy busy but it seems that some of our offices we supported yesterday are BAU today so I hope to be able to spend time catching up on stuff from earlier in the week that had to be put aside yesterday. We are getting more rain through the rest of the week but yesterday afternoon it was about 75 and blue skies with gorgeous puffy white clouds. I hope everyone on the East is safe and has power.

Accountability: I added trail mix to afternoon snack and a banana, protein cake bites and a PB&J on low carb pita last night....Yeah not a good night. TODAY IS BETTER!

QOTD: We have too many providers. Luckily, hubby keeps track of all that and all my stuff works and syncs nicely so I don't have to worry about it. I don't want to think of how much we spend for cable/internet/cell/Sirius radio and I feel like I am missing something. I recently have seen a few people who are "cutting the cord" and dropping cable TV.

Time since surgery: 3 years 7 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Tuna creations pack-hot buffalo style, low carb pita, string cheese, and Carbmaster yogurt

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF jam and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1194 Protein:123 Carbs:69 Fat:53

b- random egg salad creation with avocado and bacon thrown in

l- leftover curried masala chicken

G'morning all. I'm always happy on Weds, because I feel it in my bones that weekend is around the corner.

I have my 9 months checkup tomorrow with my surgeon. My anal self says it's 11 days before my 9 months so it's not fair!! But it is what it is and he goes on vacation next week. I am hoping I am at 90 lbs (or very close) for the appt, keeping my fingers crossed.

QOTD: we have ATT for our cell phones, and xfinity/Comcast for cable and internet. DH is on top of them. He is a hardware engineer so he is the one who fights them on details because honestly he understands them better than customer support. We also have Apple TV and combined with cable it's costing an arm and a leg. But my geek DH has to have all the new gadgets. Boys and their toys.

Accountabilty: excellent.

B: protein shake

L: wed date lunch with DS. Depends where we go for lunch. I'll choose protein forward.

S: yogurt or cheese

D: ground turkey and veggies.

E: 45 minutes elliptical - cardio day

Have a great day!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

I'm going over to a friend's house to play Scrabble today. That should be fun, except that I usually always win and I have to try and dumb myself down so that she wins once in a while so she will keep playing with me. LOL. It's supposed to get up to 66 degrees here today and I'm looking forward to that. Blossom and I will enjoy our walk today!

QOTD: I don't have a cell phone (I know, I know, I'm a dinosaur!) I bundle our satellite TV, DVR, land line and internet. Lately internet has been having connection problems and it's very frustrating.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 94, Calories - 1,307, Carbs - 147.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: lunch at my friend's house, not sure what she has planned

D: hamburger

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good Morning!!

It's still snowing here today. I'm so ready for it to be over. Could be worse, it's not like we are shut down, but I'm ready for warmish days.

Accountability: Well I'm pleased to say I did NOT eat a box of granola bars last night. :) Yay me!! I ate more than I should have, but it wasn't all carbs and garbage. I ate extra chicken--I had some for leftovers, and I snacked on some steak strips and had 2 sugar free popsicles. I'm stress eating. I'm realizing that. I just need to get it under control. There is nothing left in my house for me to eat that has carbs or sugar. I have cleaned out everything. Fridge is stacked and packed with healthy food all measured out for perfect portions. There is NO reason why I should fail. NONE. I got this. I was even thinking of going back to shakes for a few days--but I'm not that far gone....yet. :)

QOTD: I'm also with the lovely Rogers for home phone, cable and internet. I'm with Telus for my cell. I pay way too much. I'd switch everything to Rogers but I hate them, and their cell service doesn't work properly in NL so when I go home to visit? dead in the water. I too am having internet issues for the past week. I've spent more time on the phone with them that I'd care to admit. I'm ready to give up. But given all our bills are going up again for internet I feel I'm entitled to have one that works! ARGH!!

Menu:

Breakfast: Tea with premier protein and restorolax

Snack: SKYR yogurt with added coffee crisp protein for flavour

Lunch: Crock pot chicken--Shredded chicken with ranch, cheese and bacon. 4oz in total

snack: 2 cheese strings

Supper: Crackslaw-hamburger meat fried with cabbage and onions and soy sauce

Snack: 2 quest protein cookies.

Exercise: Treadmill, then weights. Arms tonight. and abs.

Excited for Monday-FINALLY have an appointment with my GP. I'm really hoping she will give me a referral for a hematologist so I can get my iron under control. I'm confident that will help with me being so tired all the time. NOT using it as an excuse just a reality.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Lori

Morning!

work should be pretty low-key for the rest of the semester - YAY!! I'll have enough to do to keep me from going nuts, but it won't be crazy, thankfully. The first half of the semester is always the worst - I always look forward to the second half!

accountability: over a bit on calories yesterday (taco bar at the meeting last night - good choices, just too much), but my weight was down a pound this morning. I'm recovering from some heavy sodium days a couple of days ago. We brought lots of stuff from the taco bar home, so we'll have some nice (and easy) lunches/dinners for a few days!! I just have to watch my amounts - unfortunately, I love tacos! (although I usually eat them without the tortillas)

QOTD: no bundles. We've never had cable TV because we watch TV so infrequently that it would just be a waste. We have Charter cable for our internet. I know people complain about them, but we rarely have problems, and I like them better than AT&T (our other option). Cell phones have been with US Cellular forever and we've been really happy with them.

2 years 9 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade cranberry/cherry sauce (OMG this stuff is great...)

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: 1 C cottage cheese

AS: 2 T peanut butter on celery sticks

D: pork chop with cranberry/cherry sauce. Might make an Asian slaw, too - I have a lot of cabbage in the fridge

ex: it's supposedly our Aqua Zumba instructor's last night (the Sunday night one takes over the Wed class next week), but I noticed the class isn't listed on the Web site for tonight, so not sure. If it's not being taught, I'll go do something else at the gym - or go to yoga.

Good morning everyone~ Just checking in - I'm alive and doing okay these days, but still getting back to my normal routine. Some of you may know that my dad passed away in February. Although I am grateful he is no longer suffering, it really sent me into a tailspin. Losing both my parents in 9 months has been tough to say the least. Rob has been amazing. My family rocks as well, but I really miss my son - only 6 more weeks to go until his graduation. This week I have been on here reading everyone's post and finding inspiration to get past this emotional eating - thank you all!

Full disclosure - I've gained 14 pounds this last month - I'm 170.2 this am...not what I want, not where I want to be at all but I will work through this and be back here daily soon.

Hi Amy! I have been thinking of you. I went to Pismo a few weekends ago but I knew it wasn't the best time to meet up...soon. Sending you tons of hugs and feel free to reach out if I can help in any way.
