Hi everyone, how are you? I am good. So yesterday at 3am our power went out. Our alarm system starts making these horrible high pitched noises and my male dog lost his mind. He hates those high pitches noises. Sooooo he decides he wants to bark his bloody head off at 3am. Hubby and I were not impressed. And our power did not come for hours! I took a vacation day and had a nice relaxing day with my doggies. Turns out some drunk guy hit a transformer two blocks away from us and the whole neighbourhood lost power.

Accountability: I ate hard boiled eggs for breakfast and lunch and had chicken for dinner. So off plan but totally protein forward.

QOTD: Do you have allergies? I have seasonal allergies and I can take OTC allergy meds and it works great. I also have quite a few food allergies and as I get older the allergies are getting worse. I am allergic to potatoes, potato starch, MSG and nitrates. I can no longer eat store bought bacon that has nitrates and I have yet to find a bacon that has NO nitrates or NO potato starch. If someone can tell me how to make my own bacon that has no preservatives send me the recipe! I might die without bacon, I think I need a bye bye bacon funeral.

Time since surgery: 4yrs + 3 months

B: decaf with vanilla PP used as creamer

L: (pot luck lunch for my co worker whose last day is Wednesday - I am going to treat myself!)

  • chicken dish, cranberry & goat cheese salad, some fresh fruit and a slice of coconut cake

S: 3oz of mini carrots

D: shredded chicken with rose sauce

S: skyr yogurt

Totals: 1227 calories (yikes), 117 protein, 84 carbs

V: patches are on + extra oral D3 & B12

E: step class and muscle pump tonight

Have an awesome day everyone! Be safe all you New England People with the next storm coming!

Morning!

Brrrr. It's cold this morning! I used to love the cold, but since surgery I swear I'm living in an ice box. Anyone else dreaming of moving down south? Just me?

Daisy, that's so frustrating. I hope the driver is safe, but yeesh-when will people learn not to drink and drive?

QOTD: I'm allergic to penicillin and very sensitive to different topical chemical exposures. Different laundry detergents, soaps, dish soap, makeups can set my skin off. Typically I will get hives or exczema out break. But sometimes I get boils and that's the worst! I also get seasonal allergies, but I just treat with OTC.

A: yesterday was off plan. Today's a new day.

M:

  1. HB egg (maybe 2)
  2. Tuna
  3. ham and turkey roll up
  4. chicken

havent plugged that into mfp yet, but I think it will be enough protein without my shake

We are "snowbirds". I just retired, so we came in November and will go back to Massachusetts in April.

Good morning. Boston is getting battered by a major blizzard this morning. All across the state we are getting over a foot of snow, but there is like a bullseye on the map right over our house and we are getting 24"! The state of MA is basically shut down, and no one is allowed to go to work. I decided not to work from home, and I took the whole day off. I plan on a solidly lazy day of binge watching tv and crossword puzzles. We better not lose power!

Accountability: I had two pieces of mint chocolate bark at the office. But I didn't have the cheeseburger I planned for dinner, and kept it light.

QOTD: Same. The older I get the more allergies I develop. I used to just have allergies to some medicines (Sulfa & Penicillin) and latex, but now I am allergic to all uncooked Nightshade vegetables and have worsening seasonal allergies in the Spring.

Cape and South Shore are getting the worst of it. Hurricane force winds without the highest snow totals. We are only a few hours in, and it's just awful out there already. From now on we will be getting 2"-3"/hour until late tonight. Take me to FL!

Wow - you have really been hit hard this year, I know my brother had to invest in a chainsaw during the last storm to get rid of fallen trees. Crazy winter, you must be ready for it to end!!!
