Good Morning! The weekend went by way too fast. Tonight we are supposed to go to "parents night" at the high school Em will attend next year but I guess she woke up feeling yucky so we will see how it all works out (hubby had a cold at the end of last week but allergies are causing issues too so who knows).

Accountability: Daisy, I am with you...let's just not look back and today is a new day.

QOTD: I usually sleep pretty well. I fall asleep pretty quick and often wake up right before my alarm is supposed to go off. I am sorry you don't sleep well.

Time since surgery: 3 years 7 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Feta roasted red pepper dip, low carb pits, and Carbmaster yogurt

D: Real good three cheese pizza, edamame and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with sliced strawberrirs and ¼ cup fiber cereal, can V8 low sodium

E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1185 Protein:119 Carbs:84 Fat:48

Have a great one!

Good morning! The weekend was very full. Friday night I was so tired from the Thursday night concert (and lack of sleep) that I just stayed in and managed to sleep. Saturday I took the kids for a 2 hour swim at the sports complex and then to a hockey game later on with my Dad. Sunday I drummed at church and then took my youngest for a big walk to a park for a play. She's almost 8, and still loves her walks with Dad. We've always done treks like this to explore things.

This morning I woke up with a 5 lb loss from Saturday a.m. which was cool. It will sometimes travel up or down a pound or two if I don't drink enough water, or haven't been regular, or if I've eaten something particularly salty. A downward trend is most welcome though. I don't really care how much, but I weigh daily as a reminder as well as a tracker. I had my 1-year lab work this morning for an appointment in a couple of weeks at the clinic. I got up and walked to the lab. They took 11 vials for the work-ups on whatever they were checking, and I found out that I needed to do an EKG too, so I finished up the blood work, rested (I was feeling a little woozy for a minute) and walked to the hospital for the test. Then walked to work, LOL. What a morning.

I've had my protein bar (actually ate two this morning, though not together, because I was shaking a bit once I got to work). That extra little bit made a world of difference.

MS: 1/2 cup ff greek with 1/2 cup mixed blueberries/raspberries

L: Protein shake, some veggies

AS: 1/2 cup cottage cheese with dill pickles

S: Unknown. Working late, so I'll probably carry a protein bar for my walk home but likely won't need it. There's curried chicken happening at home in a crock pot :)

ES: None.

All vitamins and water.

QOTD: I sleep no differently than before surgery (never had apnea or anything). It's still not enough at an average of 5.5-6 hours, but I generally sleep OK during that time. I'd like to sleep more though. I tend to fall asleep on the couch a lot in the evenings, like clockwork so I should just go to bed earlier. I might manage a bit more then.

Monday again.. So many mixed feelings about it lol! it got warm for a hot second and then cooled down and snowed again. I just want spring to start happening!

accountability: ate more than I should have but it was all protein and nothing else. We went to a movie and I was so scared that the popcorn would make me lose my mind, but I smuggled in jerky and a couple slices of cheese to keep me distracted haha.

qotd: I go from one extreme to the other. Some nights I toss and turn all night long and other nights I fall asleep on the couch hours before I tend to go to bed. The last couple weeks have been the latter. I don't know why I'm so so so tired lately. I've been eating so clean, you'd think I would have way more energy. I blame the drawn out winter!

b- two slices of bacon and one boiled egg mashed up with a teaspoon of mayo and mustard

l- tuna

d- chicken with taco seasoning

s1- Greek l&f

s2- more tuna?

v- patches

e- dog walk, high incline treadmill

have a great start to the week, guys!

Good morning,

My weekend didn't go as planned. My friends grandson couldn't come over since his dad decided to have them. Sunday I woke up with a sore throat so I didn't go see my dad since he has copd and didn't want him to get sick. Then my friend came over, she was having trouble breathing and she's been sick so I took her to er. I binged watch a lot of dvr shows.

Accountability I had a good weekend with my eating.

Qotd I take something for my depression that helps me sleep and up till last week I would have a hard time getting up in the morning.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D beef and pork roast and cooked onions

Have a good day

Morning Menu Friends!

Im currently driving back to Ohio from Illinois (taking a quick pit stop right now). I'm super bummed to leave home, but Easter break is right around the corner!

QOTD: I do not sleep very well at all either! I've switched from stomach to side sleeping since losing weight, not sure why. But it causes my shoulder to get so sore! I wake up in the middle of the night in pain. I also get a lot of foot and leg cramps while sleeping now.

A: okay so road trips are definitely a trigger for me. I decided to try a quest protein cookie. I only ate a 1/2 of it but those demons ate packed with calories. But half way through I decided I didn't like it, so I tossed it! I count that as a small victory.

Also, after CAMAW my face is covered in breakouts. Pammie confirmed it maybe dairy issues. So I think I may begrudgingly try a solo AMAW for the rest of the month until Easter. I'm not particularly jazzed about that. My one exception is that I may include almond milk for my creamer. I would love y'all to keep me accountable about this! It will be hard for me.

If dairy seems to be my issue then I'll keep it out of my diet and incorporate veggies back in at the end of the month. At least It will keep my grocery bill down!

Menu;

  1. Premier
  2. 1/2 quest cookie
  3. tuna
  4. not sure!

I break out everything I lose some weight. It's like I don't even have to get on the scale. Been that way since surgery.

Good morning everyone!

Happy Monday after daylight savings time LOL...I really wish I could have some coffee (with CAFFIENE) today (not cleared for it for another 2 weeks). waking up this morning was brutal. My alarm went off and I swore I had opened my eyes to the middle of the night.
Oh well...once I actually got up and moving I felt fine.

brings me to QOTD: I have never had a hard time sleeping, always fall asleep relatively easily and sleep through the night besides waking up to go pee since i have a tiny bladder. no sleep apnea or anything, but once in a while i get slight insomnia...always after I've slept a few hours and wake up around 1 or 2 am and can't fall asleep again. but that's rare. maybe a handful of times a year.
I did have a hard time sleeping for the first 2-3 weeks after surgery because my back hurt due to overcompensating for the abdominal strain of the surgery, but this past week I've been back to my regular sleep patterns and sleeping well again. I usually try to go to sleep relatively early (by 10pm) and normally either will lay in bed reading til i fall asleep with my kindle or watching ASMR videos on YouTube (if you haven't heard of ASMR-google it)...not everyone gets it but I do and its super relaxing for me. weird at first but it grows on you lol.

B: 1/3 c egg salad w/light mayo and dijon

MS: Caramel Premier protein shake

L: Leftover chicken ravioli w/ soft ground turkey italian sausage

AS: (if needed) baby bel cheese or 1tbsp Peanut Butter

D: Probably meatballs & green beans or a cheese omelette. depends on my mood later!

G?morning everybody!!

Busy weekend but stayed on plan. Went to a bday party and hadn?t seen some people in about 6 months. It?s so funny that people don?t know how to react. One woman said ?wow, you look great...not that you were overweight or anything before?!! I had to laugh because in my head I was saying ?oh honey I was morbidly obese...I am overweight now?. But I guess for ppl who don?t have weight problems they can?t even grasp how bad our situation gets.

QOTD: According to DH now I sleep like the dead, don?t move, just stay there the whole time without making a peep. I never had problems sleeping and I guess now I sleep even deeper.

Accountability: on point. I had just one bite from DH?s cake slice.

B: protein shake

L: I?m still working on the pulled pork ;)

S: yogurt

D: spaghetti sauce (without the pasta)

E: today is my rest day. Still paying for the weekend workout...my poor body.

Revision on 03/14/18

It's scary to think my revision surgery is Wednesday! It's been a long road with this GERD and I'm ready for it to be gone. Ok it's only been about a year but even as I continued to lose weight, the GERD continued to get worse.

QOTD: my sleeping hasn't changed much since surgery. In the first few weeks I was exhausted but that eventually normalized. I get about 6-7 hours.

B: quick oats with cinnamon, coffee with SF creamer

L: protein shake

D: Protein Shake.

S: Chobani Smooth yogurt plain

E: none today
