What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Good morning,
I was supposed to have my friends grandson spend the night but he's going with his dad today. I'll probably stay home, probably do some housework.
Accountability was perfect even with head hunger.
Qotd I feel I'm a good cook.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D beef cubed steak and roasted asparagus
Have a good day
Wow those are beautiful paintings. I'm not very creative. I'm analytical and a good problem solver. But I still draw stick figures. But really appreciate creativity.
Camaw was fun. I'll keep it going next week and keep working on my grazing. It's so much better vs last week.
B. Fage with tbs peanut butter quest protein
s eggs from McDonald's
L small salad with basil chicken leftovers from last night
S protein bar on the run
D Brisket chili and greens
S popsicles

Happy REAL Saturday Hahahaha
had a session at gym with trainer last night because we got snowed out Wednesday. He let me run 3/4 mile on treadmill Whoooo! I swear I'm the only one in the world who gets stared down by their trainer and told to go home or do less. I've been off running for at least a month due to hip pain and gel shots in my knee. Both on my left side.
QOTD: I am a jack if all trades creatively and master of none. Sort of. I do teach acrylic painting on canvas, one of my specialties is actually painting on glass. I guess I've mastered that on some level but there's always room to be a student. I have an artistic eye so good at decorating. Instruments I've played seriously and no longer play: piano, violin, guitar, hammered dulcimer. I crochet, I mentally know how to knit, but have never mastered. I am a good cook.
Last night I made fish tacos. They were amazing. Mission brand has these extra thin corn tortillas that are only 40 calories each and 8g carb. So worth it.
B: my usual latte has mct oil in it. I accidentally put double the amount. I am not wasting my cold brew coffee. Cottage cheese and raspberries
L: salad and tuna or chicken
D: think I'm doing a redux on the fish tacos they were so good
snacks: Greek yogurt, Bulgar Wheat and Pb, protein drink
ex: not sure gym or home

did you use a recipe? I have some mahi mahi in the fridge and all the fixin's for tacos (I was going to make some turkey taco meat sometime this weekend), so I was thinking of making the mahi mahi into fish tacos. I've never made fish tacos before - I was going to check epicurious.com after I got off of here...
actually, found a good one on epicurious. We really liked this. I just used a good quality store bought salsa and thinned out some plain Greek yogurt with a little half & half for the crema. I had all the ingredients already except for the cabbage and the lime (which I bought this afternoon). Great!

Morning RNY'ers!! My run is done and I've eaten breakfast and did a quick run to the market. Everything in my soul wanted a bagel today-- and I lingered in the bakery for a moment, but I passed. Today I plan to check out a strip mall that's been remodeled.
No other plans, we only have one car for the time being- hubby's is still being repaired. The shop lost power with the last two storms- setting the repairs back.
Qotd: talent? Definitely nothing artistic! Creative-- not so much. I am a strong writer (business writing- not creative etc) and it took me a while to be proud of that- but I can really express anything clearly and concisely is words. Trust me- it's not a skill everyone has!
208 today, 2.10 Years out
m1: egg/egg white, 4 turkey sausage links
m2: protein bar or oatmeal-- currently deciding on which
m3: leftover chicken cheesesteak- sans roll. Probably with salads
M4: burgers

Happy Saturday!
Today we are going for a mini road trip to go look at a four wheeler that hubby found on Craigslist and wants to buy... I'm not convinced that it's a not a good idea and kinda feel like it's going to just sit around and be a space occupier BUT he thought the same thing when I bought my fancy treadmill so maybe he's gonna surprise me and I'll have to eat my doubtful thoughts haha!
qotd: talents? What talents?! Lol.. I don't really think of myself as a talented person, but if I had to throw something out then I guess I'd say my strong ability to put myself in other people's shoes. I joke all the time that I should get a counseling license so that I can be dual purpose when clients come in for their appointments.
B: two slices of European bacon, coffee with caramel pp
L: tbd.. probably going to stop somewhere on our drive (a little nervous since I've been pretty good with CAMAW this week and weekends are always the hardest for me)
D: leftover tuna poke
S: Greek l&f
S: maybe pulled pork or meatballs
V: patches
E: dog walk done. Going to try to push my knee through a high incline speed walk on the treadmill
enjoy the day, everyone!
