Wow I think that is a beautiful lion you painted. You have talent!!! I say frame it and hang it! In your workout room if you have one... shows strength and gives the paining a whole new meaning! I will survive and strong strength!!

Unfortunately, when I left him I didn't take it with me. I kind of left in a hurry and only took necessities, as I was then homeless (couch-hopping) and didn't know where I'd store more than what fit in my car.

That is too bad. Nice you still have it online to look at. No chance he will give it back if he did not like it? Or not worth the hassle maybe.

Oh I haven't had any contact with him what so ever in almost 5 years, definitely not worth the hassle even if he still had it. I believe he got remarried, so not likely he would have kept any remnants of his ex wife around :P Plus, I painted it for him specifically, I have no reason to want it back.

Wow, Cassie, your ex-husband sounds like he was a real piece of work! Glad you are rid of him!

The lion painting is WONDERFUL! I love it! Your ex-husband was an idiot for not appreciating it!

Thank you! He really was a piece of SOMETHING ELSE but "work" is one of them lol.

Current husband is super supportive of all my creative endeavors and even makes requests, though I have yet to finish anything due to time, space, and cats. Sigh.

I'm so glad your new husband is supportive and sweet! I left my abusive (emotionally and eventually physically) ex-husband years ago and have been single ever since. I sure hope you can someday get that lion painting back from your ex.

It's not worth the hassle to me to get it back, and I doubt he held on to it anyway. I wouldn't want it back myself since it was something I painted for him as a play on his name and I gave the lion blue eyes like he had...I am proud of my skill but it's not a souvineer I want back.
