I realized since surgery that my nose leaks a lot, at first I thought it was only when I ate, but soon realized that it is most of the time. It's getting a bit annoying. If I'm doing something and can't get a kleenex right away, I feel it wanting to drip. Is there something they did during surgery that triggered this? I just find it strange.

It's a vagus nerve issue. It will improve.

My drippy nose improved, but didn't go away entirely. Extreme cold feeling improves, as well.

I'm 15 months out and I still get a runny nose when eating. Still dealing with issues of feeling cold, even eating a little more food.

As Grimm said, it is the vagus nerve. It is also fine to take a Claritin for this. It does get better with time. The plus is that sometimes the damage to the vagus nerve eliminates hunger.

I have an very active runny nose since surgery in 2011. I finally had to let the doctor know and he prescribed a prescription nasal spray, which helps a teeny weeny bit!
