What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
HI everyone, I haven't posted on one of these menu threads yet but I've been trolling them lately, just didn't feel like I had much to add because I'm still pretty fresh- I'll be 4 weeks post-op on Monday so I am still in my soft foods stage...its all pretty simple but trucking along!
no big plans this weekend besides taking my 3-year old to dance class on Saturday (she loves it and I can't get enough of the tiny ballerina's! too cute!) then probably just grocery shopping, maybe spending a nice quality movie night with my hubby on the couch.
QOTD: I do have several tattoo's and have had several piercings. I had my tongue pierced in college and had it for about 15 years but took it out during my pregnancy because it just bothered me & I never put it back in...i figured I was probably too old for it lol. I also had my eyebrow pierced, nipples pierced twice, and at one point I had about 14 piercings in my ears. again, I am too old for all that jazz (I'll be 40 in June) so I am down to 3 piercings in each ear and a very small and classy nose stud.
I have 8 tattoo's and I wish I could afford to have 100 lol...I love them. I am an artist so I love all forms of artistic expression and I find tattoos to be an amazing way to express individuality and personal interests.
I have a large tattoo accross my shoulder blades of a pair of eyes, both caps of my shoulders have a design I created of a sort of eclipse with irises of eyes in the middle and the phases of the moon surrounding them. I have a mermaid covering the top half of my left arm, 2 linked Adinkra symbols on my back at the base of my neck that mean "learning from the past", and "Child of the stars/heavens", I have a mid-lower back tattoo that I got with my best friend that symbolizes "twin souls", a 4 leaf shamrock above my left wrist that my hubby and I got together on a whim a few years ago on St Patrick's day (because we're Irish), and 3 colorful shooting stars on my right foot that I got matching with my sister.
I really want to get something with Books next as I named my daughter "Story" and I am a reading fanatic.
I am still in soft foods but trying to keep it mainly protein because I am still struggling to meet those goals without the shakes since I still have a hard time tolerating those sometimes.
B- 1 Scrambled egg w/1/2 slice of american cheese
L- leftover soft cooked turkey taco meat w/1/2 oz cheddar cheese and tsp sour cream
S- 1oz Turkey cold cut and 1oz soft white cheddar cheese
D- not sure yet, my husband will be cooking before I get home from work. probably chicken raviolli?
pic is of my daughter the other day when she picked out her own outfit. giant fluffy tutu and monster feet. She looks just like her daddy but she's got my weirdo spirit for sure. LOL

Don't worry about what stage you're in to post here, I've been posting all through my pre-op evaluation, and I'm only three weeks out ;) it's helpful for newbies to see what we're eating at all stages, and it helps others give troubleshooting advice if you have questions
