Mornin' All!

I'm so excited! I emailed my Sunday night Aqua Zumba (AZ) instructor and told her the Wed night instructor had resigned (they work at different YMCA's - across town from each other - but they know each other vaguely). I told her I was so bummed because I like doing AZ twice a week. She hadn't heard yet that the Wed night person was resigning - but guess what? Turns out she would love to pick up another class, so she made a couple of contacts and...she'll now be teaching the Wed night class, too! Halleleujah!!

accountability - I went over by about 100 kcal yesterday (no bad choices, just a bit too much), but weight was down another pound. Still shedding tha****er weight from when my brother was here. Another pound to go..

QOTD: my ears have been pierced since I was about 15 years old (over huge objections from my mother. That was decades ago, and she insisted only "cheap" girls had their ears pierced. She was obviously remembering the way things were back in her day, because in the 1970s, everybody was getting their ears pierced. Mom now has hers pierced, too!). I don't do tattoos. I feel like my mom was with the pierced ears. Back in my day, most people didn't do it - it was mostly the "rough" crowd. Although I absolutely know that's not the case anymore - they're ubiquitous - as in everyone has tattoos now. But funny how some of those perceptions from childhood stay with us. And who knows...maybe, like my mom with her pierced ears, I'll cave at some point....

2 years 9 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, 1 T tahini, 1.5 T huckleberry preserves (ugh - way too sweet - I'm having a massive sugar buzz right now!!)

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: either yogurt or 1 C cottage cheese

AS: maybe 2 T peanut butter on celery sticks if needed (because we're going out to dinner...)

D: out to a Mexican place with friends, so the usual Mexican option - either two tacos or a fajita (meat & veggie part only, and only about a cup of it)

accountabilty is spot on and I had sausage for breakfast in the hotel this morning. Tonight I will have wings and lunch is up in the air but I will make a good choice!

Poc is of my tattoo and me waving from the hotel as I wait for Joddie to get out of the shower! If Ryley was not with us I would have joined her to conserve water and energy! ( did I say that out loud) lol

QOTD:I have a pretty big tattoo from my right shoulder to my elbow that apparently meant something to me at age 25 but now only serves as a reminder of how clueless I was 20+ years ago.

Good morning. Accountability is fair. I'm still grazing a little at night. I took drastic action and dumped all of my snacking nuts last night after eating a cup of in the shell pistachio's that i hadn't planned (leaving only my yogurt supply of pumpkin and sunflower seeds). I need to set some goal with a reward that gets me out of the snacking habit. I'll have to think about that today. Stupid vacation ;) Thankfully CAMAW has kept me from eating any pretzels or carbs. So I know I can do it. Down about 2.5 so far this week, so I am happy about that. I usually don't weight mid-week. Weekend plans is I'm seeing a couple of movies at the early show that my wife does not want to see (while she's out of town with friends) - Black Panther and Shape of Water. I'll go to the 10am shows on Sat/Sun for $5 early bird. That, reading a book I started on vacation and playing with the dogs are my plans. Okay and the list of crap my wife left me to do while she's gone ;) Edit - forgot - also having dinner with some friends on Sunday night (my wife says she'll be back in time - I'm taking the under on that one knowing her friends - she's going to be having too good a time to leave at noon to be home in time on Sunday)

QOTD - Hell no! I'm not a fan of either and I don't get why others do it. But I'm turning into my grandfather as I get older ;)

B - Went crazy and had my cafe make me some eggs and 3 strips of turkey bacon. I needed a change from my HB eggwhites. Was a nice change.

S - Fage with .5 oz mixed nuts and seeds

L - Unknown. We are having an offsite meeting, so I'll bring a salmon pack and a protein bar as back ups. But I'm hopeful they'll have some usable protein and a small salad. But living in Chicago you never know if they'll do some crazy theme like Baseball park food - since that season is kicking off now.

S - my protein bar - because there can't be anything I can eat other than cheese and nuts- and I don't need either of those right now ;)

D - Well, as mentioned above, my wife is going out of town with her girlfriends and leaving me with my Pawders (he he he). So this weekend will likely be a couple of dinners my wife doesn't typically like. I'm thinking getting some Thai from the place next to the doggie daycare. I'll get an order of Spicy Basil Chicken - that's yummy and has no veg to mess up CAMAW rules. Then tomorrow is Big Ed's Chili with a side of greens (vs. my salad to keep my coumadin levels steady). My wife doesn't like either of these places, so I should get a couple of dinners and lunches out of these with the leftovers. I'll save the yummy corn bread for Sunday - oh, okay I'll tell them not to give it too me (sad face).

S - SF popsicles

Get the dress - it's cute. Don't tell my wife I made a comment about this thought. I'm the kinda of guy who never notices her hair color or cut changes. Honestly, it never changes that much for me to notice.

G'morning all.

Daisy - love the dress and it would look fab on you BUT (sorry for going against everybody's opinion) I'm not sure it's OK for a wedding due to the color. Especially the top looks too much like a wedding dress and in my world you never want to compete with or take attention away from the bride. JMHO.

QOTD: just one piercing on each ear. I am against tattoos, my thinking is why ruin your body...having said that I have done permanent makeup which is tattoo (I know double standards). I have permanent eyeliner which is a god sent in the mornings for putting make up on, especially when in the past I would always put my makeup on behind red lights on the way to work.

Accountabilty : on point. If I can blow my own horn here for a sec, the pulled pork I made a couple of nights ago is to die for. I finally got to eat it yesterday and OMG, it was the first time I made it and it was so good. I'm planning on having it for the rest of the week.

B: protein shake

L: pulled pork

S: yogurt

D: pulled pork

I saw this picture and it made me laugh, especially with our challenge this week.
Happy Friday.
