Morning!
guuuyyys!!!! I'm whiny because I realized this morning, I'm leaving for 4 days, and won't have my scale for the last days of C/AMAW! I'm debating packing it...but I'm a little too self conscious about it.
what I might do is weigh myself this afternoon before leaving, and on their scale when I get there, then use the difference as a baseline for tomorrow morning. Won't be exact, but will give me a decent idea.
qotd: I'm another one who is grateful for their job. its the first job I've ever had where I don't dread going in on Monday morning. And as always, beyond thankful for my surgery, and my husband who is always supportive of whatever crazy idea pops into my head!
accountability: amazing what a dense protein forward diet can do for hunger! Head or otherwise.
Stats:protein 95, carbs 13, calories 590
menu:
B: coffee and premier (and another double dose of miralax)
L: I'll be in a lunch meeting, so I'm guessing the meat from inside a sandwich. Im bringing leftover steak, so if I can avoid the catering I will, and eat steak instead.
D: we will be on the road, but I'm packing leftover pork chop and might pick up some jerky.
S: boiled eggs
S2: I've been planning for one, but never eating it. I have a drawer full of tuna and extra premier if needed hahah
have a good one!

Goooood morning from snowy blustery Boston! We are in the middle of our 2nd Nor'easter in a week. The last one caused an incredible amount of damage, so we are just bracing for the impact. All of my schools are closed, though (yay!) so I can work from home. There are rumors circulating that there is another big Nor'easter coming on Monday... C'mon March, cut it out.
Accountability: I can't believe how easy AMAW has been. I think it is so easy because it is just so obvious about what is on the yes and no list, whereas with CAMAW it was easier to make choices that were not getting me to goal. I really miss cheese, but I am going to reevaluate my relationship with it when this week is over.
Another AMAW realization... I am having a really hard time getting in a lot of protein! I usually get over 90g a day with eggs, cheese & protein powder, but I just can't eat that much dense protein! So my totals have been 50g - 70g all week, which was not what I was expecting.
FYI, I tried to weigh myself this morning (which I said I wouldn't do until the week ended) but my fancy ARIA Scale wouldn't let me! I stepped on and it said "updating" for like 5 minutes. I decided it was a sign and I walked away. Hahaha, thank you universe!
QOTD: Today I am grateful for electricity! I sincerely hope we get to keep it for the day, and I promise not to take it for granted!
I hear you on the cheese/dairy! I'm doing camaw, but only included the premier in my coffee, and boiled eggs for snacks. I think I'll add in some veg after this week, but hold off on dairy, and definitely protein bars for the next while.

I have been thinking that I will bring back veg, eggs and my daily protein coffee, but either cut dairy completely, or limit it to a serving a day.
I was all aboard the "protein bars are just glorified candy bars" bus for a solid 8 months. Then for some reason I had one. And oh my word! So good! Eventually for like a month almost half my diet was protein bars or cakes- even though I still thought it was junk food! I decided to use Lent as a way to break that habit. I have to stay clear of those tasty little suckers ;)
good luck cutting them out!
I like the protein bars as well, I was telling myself that I was staying away from Little debbies because of protein bars. AMAW came at a good time for me.

yeah, same! I went over a year, then it's like i had to try all of them. and compare, like a strange little hobby hahahah. they became a huge part of my daily calories. i tried justifying them, as easy on the go food. but it's really about the sweetness and carby cravings. i need some distance from my little friends...
