Ideas for eating right?
Important to figure this out now because what are you going to do after surgery? Best to experiment with steps now. Hope all goes well for you.

I lost 45 lbs pre surgery. My Dietician gave me the macros and set me up at 1600 calories a day. I ate low fat, low carb and a balanced diet of whole foods NOT PROCESSED.
I ate breakfast - a snack - lunch - snack - dinner - maybe a snack if I still needed to get calories or protein in. No missing meals.
I relearned to love my veggies and appreciate low carb fruits.
I really shook things up. And, I really upped my game drinking fluids mostly water, herbal teas and no carbonated or diet beverages.
Once the carbs were gone, the cravings went away and the protein filled me up.
Give it a try...eat balanced throughout the day and make sure you eat enough protein.
Good Luck.
