Should I be able to eat a can of soup 14 days after surgery?

because I did for lunch today, with no ill effects...

No and way more than you should be eating imI limited to 1/4 cup

Depends on how liquid it is. Remember, your pouch is basically a funnel with an open end, so liquids go directly into the intestines. Please keep in mind that you likely will not get any pain signals as nerves have been cut during surgery and are still healing. Pay close attention to the portion sizes your bariatric team have devised and don't try to test thing. You may not feel an injury, but you still have potential to unintentionally harm yourself.

No more tins of soup, then. That "cut nerves" comment was a bit of a wake-up call...

slider food- 1/4 needs to be measured, eat it, then stop until next meal time

You mean, soup is a slider food? And that I should eat 1/4 can for each meal?

Soup is the slidiest of slider foods.

If you don't need to chew the ever living crap out of it, it's a slider food.

Mashed potatoes, for instance are a slider also.

6'3" tall, male.

So I ate a single egg (scrambled) about 2 hours ago. Just checked my blood, and it's the lowest I've seen!!!
