What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Daisy, I heard through the work-gossip line that the girl I trained to take over my job for this leave has been threatening to quit, hates the work, etc. So I'm expecting the same! Luckily there are 2 other people who do what I do, so she was just trained to take the extra burden off them.
i had a coffee date with a new friend yesterday (mutual friend I just hadn't met) and he had RNY a year ago, so we just talked RNY woes and victories. Then last night I went to my cousins house and we mounted a grow light in his garage so we could get an early start on our veggie seeds! Gah! I can almost taste those garden fresh veggies!
ive been sneaking soft foods. I ate the bacon egg bites from Starbucks yesterday (one for breakfast and saved the second for today). And last night I had two turkey meatballs (frozen ones from Costco--they're very soft). No issues with either. My two week mark is tomorrow, so not jumping the gun too much, but I feel guilty about breaking the rules anyway because I'm normally a rules-follower and I swore I would be for this process.
menu: last day of liquids, hopefully.

I just want to add another voice to encourage you to stick to your plan. Your surgeon put you on the plan because of your individual healing needs. Also, even though the meatballs seem soft, I assure you they aren't! Ground meat and eggs are usually the last things that people tolerate, and if you are not having problems with them, its almost a sure sign that your nerves are not healed yet.
I am behaving today, but I do plan on calling my surgeons office tomorrow to talk about moving to soft foods. It will be two weeks tomorrow which is when I was told was ok to progress anyway but I just want to confirm.

Daisy, I feel your pain!! My assistant gave her notice also and tomorrow is her last day. She has been with me for 8 years and I am going to miss her dearly. The sad thing is, I feel like I want to be done too. I have been at my job for 14 years. I am updating my resume today and will be actively looking for another job.
QOTD-I won in Vegas once! Does that count. :)

Interesting thought on the menu adjustment. I don't eat anything until I have been up for about 6 hours (I do have some milk with my latte) and by far my biggest meal is dinner. I will interested to hear how the change up works for you.
Good morning. Not much new and exciting here except that BIL is leaving today (Yeah! He has been less than the ideal guest). We also registered our car in Florida yesterday. No more driving back and forth for us.
QOTD: I won a couple of science fairs back in junior high/high school. Nothing else since then that I can recall other than some college academic honor things and promotions at work.
