â?Å"Softâ? Food Starts Today
So it?s 14 days since I had surgery. I can honestly say I have not felt ?real? hunger once, despite only having smooth liquids.
Today I will start eating ?soft? foods. But, since the whole reason for this op was to address my T2 Diabetes, I?m going to go lo-carb soft food.
The guidance I was given re: meals, was eat protein first, then veg, then carbs. I won?t be eating carbs, though.
Any suggestions for soft, lo-carb food? I?m not gonna fire in and go for steak or chicken just yet, so I was thinking stuff like scrambled eggs, Quorn chilli, thick soups, Avacado, sausages (?), cold cuts (?), cauliflower cheese, sweet potato, etc.. Is there any way, besides trial and error, to understand or get an indication of my tolerance to fat?
Any diabetics got any go-to soft food for the soft foods phase?
TIA!
