vitamins
Don't bring your vitamins with you to the hospital. The most important things right after surgery are fluids (#1), walking, and protein. Your body has vitamins stored up so you can wait to start taking them again and should be fine. BUT this is a question best asked of your surgeon - when to start taking them again and how (whole, 1 at a time; cut in half; liquid; chewable, etc). It is imperative that you follow your surgeon's post-op instructions to minimize any complications. Good luck on Tuesday!
I did not start vitamins until Surgeon told me to. I started 2 weeks after surgery. Good luck with your surgery.
I will add you to my prayers.
Just had surgery on the 15th, and won't be starting vitamins until my follow up next Monday (a bit over 2 weeks). That's also when I advance my diet from liquids to soft proteins. In my surgeons case, he wants to make sure we are tolerating food before trying vitamins, as some may make you nauseous so soon after

I started my vitamins the day I came home from the hospital (day 3).
