What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
Good Morning and happy Fri-yay! We went to our local junior league hockey game last Saturday (they played 3 games at the arena last week since the floor was iced for Disney on Ice) and it was a great game-hope you enjoy your weekend.
LOVE your new shoes. My next pair (also a Saucony addict)is currently sitting in the box since I am waiting for just the right day to wear them for the first time.
We don't much planned for the weekend, just the normal stuff and hopefully meeting up with a friend for coffee and to chat for a few hours tomorrow afternoon.
Accountability: I ate a 90 cal fiber one bar, handful of nuts and a protein bar last night. I will admit I was stress eating for the most part. I wish my brain was fixed. I will say parenting is hard. Although, this particular situation didn't directly involve Em she was aware of some issues a few of her close friends were dealing with and we had to make the decision to involve the other parents. Em was afraid that she would lose her friends over it but she and I had a nice talk about as hard as that would be, her friend's safety was more important (this all had to do with social media and cat-fishing). Luckily, both of the friends opted to talk to their parents (basically they were told either they needed to talk to them or I had to) and then I just followed up with the parents to close the loop. In the end-after tears and conversations I think all is ok and no friendships are over...just hard stuff these kids have to deal with.

Please let me know if this pic works on your screen, on my phone it looks huge. This is my baby girl, Gemma, in her good days.
Bo special plans for the weekend. DS has his last driving class and then onto DMV for his license. Yikes, I'd rather be in the car with him than him driving solo. But he is so excited that from now on he can drive himself to his surfing spots rather than "his mommy" driving him.

Picture looks perfect. Still sending hugs. I am still missing my babies every day. I have posted this pic before but these are the babies we lost this year- Em's kitten, Sasquatch in August (passed away during an amputation revision surgery- he had three legs) and Ruppert passed right before Thanksgiving due to cancer.
