I was able to sleep in my own bed and reasonably comfortably sleep on my side last night! Best night of sleep I've gotten in a week! However, my cat rejoiced in getting back to the new pattern by once again, jumping on my still-tender abdomen at 5 AM pleading for her morning tribute. I didn't think to keep a pillow over my stomach since I feel like I'm leaps and bounds better, but...yeah that still hurt! Still a bit tender there

your quote might have applied to me 10 years ago, and that's honestly probably how I got into my awful first marriage, but these days if people don't like how I live my life, they know what they can kiss. Not sure if it's an age thing, exactly since I'm only 32, but maybe more of a life experience thing? I've had a lot of that.

menu: liquids. Sigh.

my follow up with my surgeon isn't until Monday the 5th, a few days after the official 2 week mark. I feel really sad that I will have to wait those extra days to progress my diet. DH has been eating yummy food in front of me.

Good Morning!

I like the quote. Something I have to remember.

Accountability: Was ok. I ended up having half a panni for lunch. We had an all day staff meeting/training session. Basically we were locked in for the day. NO cell phones/blackberry's allowed. So many people had meltdowns. I saw a grown man cry. He lost it. He lasted an hour, all twitchy and just anxious. Finally he had a total outburst about NOT having his blackberry, went over to the bins and got his out and left. At the end of the day the moderator told us that he was asked to take away all cell phones by our big boss. And the boss wanted to know what/who freaked out and what happened. So this will be interesting to see the fall out. So many people behaving badly and taking it out on the moderator. He earned his pay yesterday.

Today I'm back on track.

Breakfast: Tea with premier protein and restoralax.

Snack: Skyr greek yogurt with Poptart protein powder and flax seed

Lunch: Cauliflower rice with grilled chicken and a sweet and sour sauce.

Snack: Jello cup, baybel cheese

Supper: I'm working tonight...so if I can I'll grab a Wendy's chili on the way there. if not? It's going to be a protein bar. I'm also going to have a G2 Gatorade while working. On the plus side I usually get in about 30,000 steps and 25-30 flights of stairs according to fitbit!! :)

Question for everyone who works out. Does anyone have a pre workout they use? I'm looking to getting back to my 4am workout sessions. and I've been thinking a pre workout will help. I know so many people swear by them, but I've been nervous given the surgery.

Can't wait for the weekend!! I am on Olympics overload and need to SLEEP. LOL

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Lori

People melted down over not having their cell phones / blackberries? Wow! I don't even OWN a cell phone! LOL!

Total meltdowns. At first I kind of snickered and thought. Umm ok then. But full disclosure-I am not addicted to my phone. I can't use it at my part-time job, and don't check it all the time at my day job. So I thought it was funny how people were yelling and screaming and freaking out. But then it got sad, very quickly. They honestly were having total meltdowns. This was for work, everyone was mandated to go. So they were not missing things in the office. But it was a sight to see. Then they started freaking. People really and truly can't go without their phones. It's clearly an addiction, but to see it in person. Grown men and women crying? Nuts. Someone started the chant-what if my kids need me? etc. they figured they could get them back for that. Nope. keep the ringer on-if they call you will hear it. No texts/emails.

Modern day version of Survivor.

Wow, so interesting. It's almost like when the power goes off and I keep thinking I can do this or that not realizing the power is off you can't do ANYTHING, and if you haven't charged your phone (ahem) then you are in deep kimchi. I think I could have survived the meeting as long as we were doing something, not just take the phone away and sit there quietly.
