What ^^^^^^ those guys said. You will not continue losing as fast as you were regardless, but adding carbs will just slow it down more.

Take a look at my ticker for how i lost.

We cant lose too fast. Its a race. Run!

You don't need any carbs at all. Zero. You'll get all the energy you need from protein, and burn more fat in the process.

This stupidity really ****** me off. Run, don't walk in weightloss! There is zero benefit in losing slow ... Z E R O!!!!!

You are already eating more carbs than is recommended for the losing phase, lucky you, but be sure you know to cut the fruit (carbs) out if you ever stall or gain. The honeymoon weightloss period is awesome, enjoy eating as you do and losing and don't squander it by adding more carbs in a meal than I, and many others, eat IN A DAY!!!!

Hi Steven,

I have to agree with what everyone else has already said. Please ignore your NUT. My NUT tried to tell me eat more carbs as well. The best thing I ever did was listen to the vets!

Thank you all for your advice. I totally thought adding that many carbs would be a mistake. It's a shame...we are supposed to be able to trust our health care providers!

You just had major surgery. Some of us take longer to get our energy back. It's perfectly normal. I did not get my energy back for 6 months. Just make sure you are getting in your protein, drinking plenty of fluids, and taking all of your vitamins. It will get better, I promise!!

Good morning,

At least the rain has stopped but it's cold again.

Wish I would stop binge eating, not sure why I do it. But I have an appointment with my bariatric doctor on March 5 to address the problem.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna and cottage cheese

D keto lasagna

Have a good day

Morning..almost afternoon menu friends :)

I was up and out early today. Checking out of Home Depot at 6:45 with the paint for my sons room. So far I've done one coat of KILZ, and have to do one more before we can paint. (Thank you Michigan Spirit Paint..)

No gym today, I'll get my exercise running around and painting so we can get it done and dry so my husband can start the hardwood flooring.

Today is 12 weeks post op: I am down 51.8 # as of my surgery date, and 73# overall.

B: Scrambled egg with 1/2 piece of sausage and a sprinkle of cheese.

L: Not sure yet, probably a tuna packet

D: Mississippi pork roast

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good day menu family!

Accountability: I went out with friends, they changed the venue on me and we were at a Mexican bar. I had chips, I had guacamole, I had margarita... (of course in a totally random scale kind of way that obviously means nothing the scale was down a couple of pounds this morning)

QOTD: I am the queen of excuses (as many of you have observed!)

11 months post RNY/136 lbs/Weight-loss phase

B- Green Tea and Elevation (Aldi brand) vanilla protein powder

MS- Hot Chocolate

L- Green tea and elevation protein powder

AS- 1 oz. smoked almonds

D- Wagon wheel pasta with meat sauce (nephew's 3rd birthday party) a green salad and a glass of red wine

ES- Carrot cake (birthday cake)

Total Calories: 1229, Protein: 77, Carbs: 110, Sugar: 53, Fat: 50

I am hoping that I'll just have a bite of the carrot cake and swap those calories for a RTD protein shake so I can up the protein to 100 and drop the carbs, but I'm trying to post my best estimate of reality not my best hope ;-) At least that carrot cake is chuck full of actual carrots from our garden and my sister uses a little less sugar than most recipes call for - so yay for not being highly processed?

The scale dropped and now I feel like I'm REALLY in the 130s! Whoot!!!

I love the quote! It's so true. Today is my last day of gatorade only-- so it's what's on the menu today and then I'm pretty sure it will never cross my lips again!

Good morning! I drove in this morning because I had a work vehicle overnight from a late meeting. I had a heap of supplies to unload so I came in a bit early. I'll be walking home (now that it's nice and freezing out, that'll be fun after 3 days of rain).

Menu: Breakfast was a bowl of cereal with my kid. Vector mixed with Shreddies, not the greatest but not the worst. The rest is on point though, ff greek with strawberries for both snacks, and chili for lunch. Extra meat in it. Supper will likely be the last of the chili or chicken. Or Chicken chili. LOL

Great quote Daisy. I have one I like on my wall at work beside a pic of my family.

I don't work out to add days to my life. I work out to add life to my days.

I've mentioned it before that I lost my accountability workout partner, boss/mentor and best friend last year; he slumped over a machine at the gym and it's been hard for me to return there. So much so that I cancelled my membership. I just couldn't do it. My wife actually wants to go tonight and get memberships for both of us and start working out together. I feel that I can walk through those doors again, and my buddy would want me to. The weight loss is one thing, it's great, but it's not the same as being "healthy and fit". It allows me to better accomplish that though, and that was my original goal when I joined in the first place. I can't wait now, to get back in the saddle. Walking isn't satisfying enough for me anymore, and my wife is equally excited about it.
