I have to get out to the store today more to find some books and cat food then out of any desire to cook or eat -but I already paid an insurance bill and made a business call and it isn?t even 9:30 yet :)

Still need to schedule a move two weeks from now ... yikes not looking forward to that

breakfast - small pouch day - made chicken potstickers from Aldi?s ( 4 grams of fat in five large potstickers) with general tso sauce and a cup of baby asparagus and a scallion. So far could only eat a few bites, mostly the asparagus.

Chai tea skim lattes

Its still raining this morning - like literally ten days practically nonstop.

Last night the two Persian kitties ran out between my legs just before dark- of course their naïveté misleads them that theyre safe - meanwhile the night animals here are no joke especially during the hungriest part of winter ( and denning season) . I usually have a family of foxes denning under the pool and there?s definitely a large and aggressive raccoon that keeps messing with the fishermen?s traps ( its looking to eat a leftover fish or a leg-caught bird) .

These little furry fools meanwhile think its funny to run under the pool deck where Mommy cant catch them .. and play hide and seek by coming out almost letting themselves get picked up and then running back in.

We ?played? this game until midnight literally .. meanwhile I?m gesticulating with a flashlight under the pool deck hoping something mean or hungry doesnt grab their fluffy well fed laughing little butts from behind.

The joys of suburban living!

Needless to say theyre haunting the side door this morning no doubt hoping for another ?excellent adventure ? lol ... giving me?please Mommy please let us play outside ? guilt-inducing looks... its like having little kids!

oh and did I mention Tilly figured out how to open the oven door and jump inside before it closes ( it must be warm in there from the pilot light ) . The other day Thank God i saw movement through the glass window as I was turning the oven on .. or someone would have had toasted paws . KITTENS... curtain climbers, bureau hiders lol...

Good Morning!Daisy, I hope your back feels better, I am glad you are resting when you need to. Last day in the Bay, I am in the office here for a few hours and then heading home. I can't wait to get hugs from my loves and also sleep in my own bed and get back to my routine. It seems way longer than three nights away.

Accountability: I ate one of those PB/cheese crackers packs and extra fiber cereal (dry while watching the Olympics in the hotel room)

Love the quote idea!

Menu as I know it: B: latte, egg and bacon L: TBD S: most likely a latte on the way home, yogurt and Mr Cheese O's D: TBD

E: run and elliptical done this morning

W/V on track.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Sending to Amy today as she grieves.

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm just about 3 weeks out from surgery, and am starting to feel really good. I've lost 32lbs! I had an appointment with my Nutritionist yesterday, and she was pleased with my progress, but she is concerned that I am losing weight a little too fast. She wants me to increase my carb intake to 15-25g per meal. Currently, I am getting about that amount for the entire day! It makes me nervous too start adding carbs, but she insists that it will help with my energy levels. I go back to work on Friday. I'm a bit nervous about that, but also sort of excited to get into a more normal routine. Here's today's menu...

B. Plain Greek Yogurt w/ 10 raspberries

MS. Premier Protein Shake

L. Tuna and a Hard Boiled egg

AS. Cottage Cheese w/a few blueberries

D. 3oz Roasted Chicken Breast, 1/4 cup mashed cauliflower, green beans

Have a great day!!

Adding 15-25 grams of carbs per meal is the worst advice in the history of advice. There is no such thing as losing too fast, and no benefit to losing slowly. What will help with your energy levels is recovering fully from surgery, getting enough water, and eating a protein-forward diet.

Please, for the love of weight loss, do not follow this terrible advice.

This is what I want to say to your nutritionist:

Hi Steven,

I am compelled to chime in - please ignore your nutritionist. One day you will look back longingly on the days when the weight melted off. Your body needs protein and you need to stay hydrated. It looks like you already have some veggies and fruit on your menu but please don't up your carbs. I was also a fast loser and kept my carbs under 30g per day in the losing phase. Get to goal as quick as you can and then start fighting the battle that is maintenance!

I want to reiterate what others have said. There is no such thing as losing too fast. Get the weight off as quickly as possible. Treat weight loss like it's your job. The best way to do that? Eat protein and drink water. At this point, you don't need carbs. I lost 100% of my excess weight and during my losing phase I stayed under 30g carbs a day. Right now, in maintenance, I'm typically under 50g carbs a day. I have no issues with energy or the like. I work a full time job, run, take spin classes and lift weights, and don't need carbs to do it. Follow the advice of successful vets here and ignore the craptastic advice from your NUT.

Good luck!!!!
