Tylenol does little for me too. Luckily since I lost my weight my pain is better--except when our weather is 70 one day and 24 the next!

Mornin'!

just a few minutes before I have to head out the door - reference desk shift this morning.

We had a late dinner with the Swedish exchange students last night, so I ate something around 5:00 so I wouldn't maw (sp?) at the restaurant. Big pouch day, though, because I was really hungry by 8:00, when we had dinner. I had one piece of pizza and half of my side salad, but that put me way over on calories for the day. Should have just had the salad. For one of the very few times in the last three years, I'm not stepping on the scale this morning! I feel like a bloated, waterlogged blob!

2 years 8 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1 T tahini, homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax latte shake

L: other half of the salad from last night (it had ham, cheese, and chickpeas on it - so protein...)

AS: yogurt or 2 T peanut butter on celery sticks

D: turkey taco meat, lettuce, tomatoes, Greek yogurt, salsa

ex: Aqua Zumba

Good morning Daisy and menu crew - great quote Daisy! I love motivational quotes. So I might have done more than just tweak my back. I have take your breath away moments and am self treating for now. Accountability was great yesterday, my mind was on my sore back and even skipped afternoon snack and ate very little for dinner.

B - Scrambled eggs and bacon

S - Fage 0, blueberries and almond butter

L - baked chicken tenders, 1/2 cup of jasmine rice

S- cream of rice and almond butter

D - steak tips

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

I SO agree with you, Daisy, about Tylenol and not being able to take anything stronger for pain. I have arthritis and daily headaches as well as migraines. When my back is flared up I take Tramadol along with Tylenol, but I sure miss being able to take nsaids. I also take some prescription medications for migraines that help.

There are many quotes that I love in the book, "Illusions" by Richard Bach (better known for writing Jonathan Livingston Seagull). (GREAT book, by the way! Short & easy to read). Here's one that is similar to yours, Daisy: "Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours." Here's another one that I like: "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof." and "Your friends will know you better in the first minute you meet than your acquaintances will know you in a thousand years." Thank you all for being my WLS friends and family!

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 62, Calories - 1,090, Carbs - 113.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: ham & cheese sandwich on 45 calorie light bread

D: beef & broccoli

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana, 2 Atkin's peanut butter cups

E: Walking at Walmart

Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

hi all

things are going down the you know what today- or rather NOT since we had to call out a septic company due to the downstairs toilet issue- I'm staying positive and generally am handling stress pretty well. Trying NOT to eat the house and although I ate too much yesterday it was veggies and egg whites and yogurt so not off plan things. That is positive.

Food plan for today:

chicken burger patty

jello cottage cheese thingy

coffee

riced cauliflower

dinner is a question mark. I will either cook something here OR we will go for some plain wings as it is .50 wing night at the bbq place and then i can have several days of leftovers :)

did NOT do tabata last night, we were instead trying to snake a toilet and breathing in poo fumes so not going there. Re: your quote above- it is an excuse but it is how I'm dealing right now.
