Hey Protein Power Pals! How are you all? I would like to take a moment and complain about how much I miss Advil/Aleve/Naproxen!! OMG!!! I was chatting with my PCP yesterday and for every ache/pain I told her about she responded back with "Well I would have said take Advil or I would have prescribed you Naproxen." Great thanks so I get to live the rest of my LIFE in pain because Tylenol you SUCK! Rant over.
Accountability: Great. I had a small pouch day so I didn't eat my cheese or banana. I didn't go to the gym either. My back is acting up and I was in too much pain by the end of the day to face the gym.
New format gang: Coming up with a question of the day everyday is hard. So if I have a question I will ask it, if I am blanking then I am going to post a Quote of the Day. If anyone out there has a question they want me to ask on their behalf you can PM me. I am blanking on a question today so here is your Quote:

Good morning! I can't believe it's Wednesday already. I wish every week had a three day weekend... Yesterday was great. School vacation week means I can actually get stuff done without all of those pesky kids and teachers getting in the way ;) I left early and went to the gym for a 1.5 m run, then came home and went on a nice long walk with Grim around the neighborhood. It's going to be above 70 again today! Woot!
Accountability: It all ended up okay, but I threw out the HB egg because it was gross, I added some cocoa almonds before the gym, and I swapped out chicken for steak at dinner. Ended up with almost identical macros, though!
I found out yesterday that a friend had a heart attack. He is okay, but it's a wake up call to me that I need to get my ass back in shape--and I can find a million excuses about why I am too busy, but the truth is that I just need to do it. Every day. So yeah--your quote resonates...
I hope your friend will be okay. Here in over 55 land, their are constant reminders to stay in shape. You can see the difference in those that keep active vs. those that don't.

Thanks. Looks like he is going to be just fine, but hopefully this will be a kick in his butt to quit smoking!

JuniperBerry -- I love your hobbit meals! I liked Big Train spicy chai but I didn't know they had a fit version, so I'm excited to check that out in the future.

Good morning! I spent the day reading yesterday, and it felt amazing and because I'm still sore, I don't even feel guilty about not being productive. I know I'm supposed to be healing anyway and not doing chores and projects and such but I really do have a hard time allowing myself to relax like that. Anyway, I read Caroline: Little House, Revisited by Sarah Miller. If anyone loved the Little House on the Prairie books growing up, this book is fantastic! It explores the themes of a mother providing for her family, raising children, being a wife, and even giving birth out on the prairie while feeling so isolated.
I kicked butt at protein/fluids yesterday. I got in almost 80g of protein and 70 oz of fluid.

When I was in grade school a thousand years ago, we had to read all of the books, little house in the big woods, on the banks of plum creek, etc. Required reading for Nebraska kiddos. And Willa Cather when we were older.
So glad you are doing better. I go to my 5th pre-op visit on Friday.
