Apollo Overstitch anyone?
posting here as there is not much activity on the revision page.
i am 11 years out from my initial RNY surgery and after successfully keeing off 160lbs for 10 years I am considering an overstitch procedure. Wondering if anyone here has experience with the AO and what your experience and results have been? I have 50lbs to lose to get back to my lowest weight and 70 until goal. Just wondering what everyone elae is experiencing with this procedure! Also is it hard to get approved with insurance?
thank you
I do not have experience with it. Revisions of any kind can be difficult to have covered by insurance since many insurance companies have a one-and-done WLS policy.
Are you having mechanical complications or other issues?

Hi, My girlfriend who had a RNY 5 years ago had this done last year. I am not sure she was totally pleased with the results but she has lost weight and gotten back down to her lowest weight with much effort. her claim is that she did not feel any different in regards to restriction.
I think if any of us depend on that long term, it could be a problem. It may give you a jump start to weight loss again and dietary compliance as well as measuring food again though.
