Just wondering...
I was constantly nauseous post op ... to the point that my surgeon was forced to prescribe anti nausea medication so i could sip liquids and eat.
Eight years later I STILL have nausea ( not as bad but noticeably) isn't that funny ? It means i often can only eat a few bites and have get a doggie bag to graze later to get in my planned nutrition.
Ive always gotten carsick and seasick and its just simply worse now - im playing with the idea of buying a sailboat but am not sure ill be able to stay awake to captain it responsibly...
Ginger tea really helps reduce the nausea as does candied ginger splices ( you can buy them in an Asian grocery store )
I go back to see my doc next month. I will mention it to her. It only happens in the late afternoon/evenings. Then I go to bed and the next day I feel ok. But I have noticed a pattern of this happening.

My experience is similar. If I eat too quickly (my biggest issue right now) I get mildly nauseated afterwards for about half an hour. Also if I eat higher fat this happens. I was told this was pretty normal - the preop nurse told me to prepare for mild nausea for the next six months (NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR AN HOUR BEFORE SURGERY).
I'm assuming this is normal. I'm super fatigued as well, and that is totally expected per my surgeon. I've just arranged to do less starting in the late afternoon, when I start to really feel the fatigue.
Hang in there. Sounds like what I am experiencing, and while I'm a total newbie, my surgical team says it's all within the range of normal.
Best,
Didi
