What on your Saturday menu, RNYers?
Good morning weekenders! I got to come home last evening about 7:00 and it was great to sleep in my own bed last night. I got some good rest and don't feel too bad this morning. I think the hard part is that my healthier body is making my recovery much smoother than the WLS last year and I am afraid of overdoing it because I feel okay. I have been doing alot of walking at the hospital and will hit the treadmill soon for some short walks.
Lots of fluids going in and that has helped me to recover from the anesthesia fairly quickly.
I can't think of a QOTD today, so feel free to chip in with one.
Menu is a little up in the air, but I am tolerating real food pretty well. I am adding in several protein shakes to keep my protein high for healing.
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, 2 oz ham
Snack: Cappuccino protein shake, apple, almonds
Lunch: TJ's chicken sausages, baby carrots
Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake, blueberries, cashews
Dinner: Not sure, but it will be lots of protein
Bedtime snack: probably another shake or bar
Exercise: can't do much for a couple weeks, but lots of short walks to help the gas.

Glad to hear you are home,Janet. I don't know about you but I really have problems sleeping anywhere but my own bed. Just a quick post before I head up to do laundry. Lily and I got our 4 miles in in the snow. She loves snow and hopped and pranced and drug me all over town. I'll do another mile sometime this afternoon. Post op 5 years 5.75 months and weight at 119.2 today. Accountability was good with no extra bites but my fluids were not where they should be again. The goal for today is at least 100 ounces. Heres my food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/4 c cheesy potato soup D 4 oz pork patty 1/2 c sliced carrots S 2 oz roasted edamame and chickpeas. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goals! Now off to find coffee and do laundry!

Good Morning! Glad to hear that you are continuing to feel good. When I had my first surgery 10 years ago I was in a tremendous amount of pain and misery, so I was expecting my revision to be worse. But being in better physical health really helped the recovery go smoother.
KQOTD: I was googling building codes for school buildings this morning after getting into an argument yesterday at work about classroom doors... my life is so exciting...
If the weather holds up (we are expecting snow!) we are going to a fancy dinner at a Steak House in Boston tonight!
I hope you are able to go. I didn't notice the timing on the snow.

Yes, I can't do it from the MFP app, because it won't let me adjust the screen size, so I have to do it from the website.
Janet, I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well and that you are home already!
