Hi all,

I had a big dumpster delivered this morning, which was a comedy of errors. Nearing final clearout stage here!

I am finally feeling chilly! I'm 125 pounds down and up to now have been, if anything, too darn hot! I'm not sure what changed, but over the past day or two I am feeling quite cold. I'm wearing boots and tights, the heater is blasting, and I'm still cold! I'm going to put a sweater over my top right now. Brrrrr!

QOTD: A few years ago, I came upon an overstuffed wallet sitting in the child-seat top part of a shopping cart at CVS. Nobody was close by, and it was clearly valuable, so I took the cart, leaving the wallet clearly visible, and made my way towards the pharmacy counter to turn it in, asking people I encountered along the way if it belonged to them. It didn't. The pharmacist was on the phone for an extended period and ignored me, so after waiting for a while, I turned the cart around and headed for the checkout area, where I knew I could also turn it in. As I came towards the checkout counters, I saw that a crowd had gathered. A woman, upon seeing me, stepped towards me and loudly proclaimed, "There it is!". She then accused me of stealing her wallet. I told her that I took it only to turn it in, because it was clearly valuable and the cart appeared to have been abandoned. She was terribly rude and accusative. Luckily a couple of the people whom I had asked if they owned the wallet spoke up in my defense. The woman insisted I had somehow absconded with her wallet the moment her back was turned, but the fact was that she had not been in it's vicinity at all. The whole incident was very strange and embarrassing. She took the wallet in a huff, and I went back to purchase whatever it was I had initially come in for. When I checked out, she was standing in line ahead of me, and I spoke up and told her that she had been very rude to me, and that she should have thanked me for helping her instead of being so accusative. She turned to me and said "Oh, I don't need this! My mother's very sick in the hospital and I've got way too much going on to deal with this", still in a very loud, accusative tone. i just reiterated that she should be grateful when people try to help her, but inside I was thinking that she shouldn't be wasting time harassing do-gooders in CVS, but should be by her mother's side.

Anyway, I would keep a bill if I found it just lying on the sidewalk, but I wouldn't keep a wallet. Even if I didn't like the person to whom it belonged, I wouldn't want to think of myself that way - that I could be bought so cheaply. It wouldn't be fear of karma so much as pride, plus I know what it's like to lose money. If the wallet had a lot of money but no I.D., I would turn it in to the police though I'd probably hope there would be no claimants! If it was a really old scruffy thin wallet with no I.D. and only held a dollar or two, I would probably keep the money. But if it was more I think I would turn it in.

Hey all! Sorry for the driveby post today. It has been a real crummy one so far. First day back to work after being sick as all get out the last couple days (I don't think I've puked so hard in my life!) and I got into it with my boss first thing this morning. Now my tummy hurts from all the stress of confrontation. If it wasn't the flu that got me then it's gonna be the work tension LOL!

qotd: I'd be so tempted to keep the money and burn the wallet, but I am a huge believer in Karma so I'd probably return it in some kind of way that I didn't actually have to interact with or see the person.

b: syntrax and coffee

l: chicken and pickles with cream cheese

s: Greek yogurt

d: tbd

v: patches

e: still trying to get my strength back so I might give my body one more day

hope everyone is having a good day!

I'm just posting for myself this late but want to keep accountability.

I have bad arthritis in my knees and feet and this rain weather hasn't helped but they are so much better with the weight off!

Accountability: no horrible yesterday until evening time. I found these gluten free oatmeal bits that I like too much. I plan on having be serving for Valentine's and I ended up eat 4 servings! Then this morning another 4 and now they are gone thank Goodness. Won't be getting those again. Right now I'm just happy I didn't do what I usually do and throw in the towel for the rest of the day so that's at least good!

QOTD: I would give it back regardless or I'd walk around undo feeling awful. I might say a few choice words under my breath if it was someone I couldn't stand though!

B:coffee with premier protein 8 oatmeal bites 8!!

L: lite salami and Swiss in a lettuce leaf

D: pork, salad and babybel

S: no snack needed after my mess up tho am but drinking tons of decaf coffee
