Thanks, Pat. I don't know how you did it, it must have been heartbreaking seeing this over and over. The caseworkers from the hospital and Hospice have been amazing.

At one point I needed hospice for a family member, so I had empathy for what the family as well as the patient were going through. I really miss being a nurse.

Good Morning Menu Peeps! Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. I was off and hubby took the day off too so we were gone in Atlanta all day exploring. (Finally found Trader Joes and bought some things there)

My knee bothers me occasionally, not sure its arthritis though. I tore my ACL 3 years ago and was non-weight bearing on that leg for 30 days post op so I overcompensated with my other knee and that one creaks and cracks all the time now.

QOTD: I'd return it. I found a wallet a 6 flags, 3 years after we had some major flooding here in Georgia. Cash and credit cards and a drivers license were all in it. Turns out he lost it in the flood 3 years prior to when I found it while he was in downtown Atlanta and it had drifted to 6 flags. LOL! He was grateful we called and returned it.

B: Premier Protein Shake

L: Salmon and asparagus leftover from dinner last night.

D: Not sure yet. Husband and I will be on our own..both kids will be busy so not sure what were doing.

S: I have yogurt and babybel in the fridge here at work, so if I get hungry I'll have one of those.

Have a great day!!

Not sure if you like/can have cottage cheese but I find using that in my egg salad (you might see on here sometimes EmiePie's egg salad) as a sub for mayo is yummy and it gets a little protein boost.

I add a little of the everything but the bagel seasoning from Trader Joe's (I can't remember who suggested that addition!) or bacon crumbles.

Mornin'!

I had an early morning dentist appt and then meetings. I have about 10 minutes before I have to go downstairs and teach two back-to-back 75-minute classes. Massage at 4:30 - I'm going to need it!

QOTD: I guess I don't really hate anyone, so it's hard to say. DH and I did find a wallet on a NJ (New Jersey) Transit train once that had a ton of bills in it - we didn't count it, but it looked like a lot. We gave it to the conductor. He looked at us like we were nuts. I guess not many people turn in wallets with a wad of bills in them. Hopefully whoever lost it got it back. We looked for a drivers license before we turned it in, and it was from someone out-of-state. Must have been visiting NYC. Poor guy We briefly considered trying to contact him ourselves, but it was in the pre-FB and pre-cell phone era, and we were leaving to come back to Wisconsin the next day, so I wasn't sure we'd be able to track him down. Plus I didn't want to be accused of stealing anything out of it (which we did not...).

accountability great yesterday

2 years 8 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1 T tahini and homemade blackberry/blueberry sauce

MS: coffee with half & half, protein/Miralax shake

L: 1 C cottage cheese

AS: L&F yogurt

D: probably more of the salmon & veggies

later: piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie
