I use a fry pan with some butter and olive oil. I prefer my salmon on the rarer side. Hot pan, 2 min per side(depending on thickness of the filet)drizzle with fresh lemon juice and let it rest for 2-5 min. Yum!! I find baking just the filet can dry it out too much. Of course, back in the day I topped it with a ritz cracker stuffing that had shrimp and scallops. Then I baked it.

Good morning everyone. My accountability started good.... I thought I would do something nice for all my co workers, so I made a huge platter of chocolate dipped strawberries and decorated it with all sorts of candies. I brought it to work and ended up eating some. Funny thing is I don't have a sweet tooth so I wasn't counting on me eating any of it, weird. Back on track today.

If I found a wallet I would return it no matter what, that's what I would want someone to do for me.

Have a great day everyone

Hi all

I do have arthritis in my upper back with 2 bulged disks. the weather gets to it sometimes and I just have to keep moving. a drunk driver hit me in 2001 and been having issues on and off since. I will say being small has helped this considerably.

QOTD: I would give it back.

Food last night was a bit of a crap shoot. We went to dinner where I had blackened scallop, fish shrimp, oysters, and calamari without breading, it was amazing. I did have a couple bites of carrot cake from this amazing bakery. Then I had a few other things also. should have stopped at the cake bites but thought I needed a protein counterpart to not get ill. anyway, yesterday was one day only, moving on.

Today's food

leftover seafood

coffee

shake I think today for breakfast

exercise- not sure will be spraying down the walls and floors treating them this evening. not sue if I will get in tabata. really sore from all the 4-1's I did yesterday.

Good morning! I realized 3/4 of the way on my walk, that my beloved Sorel boots are wearing out. The soles have worn through and my socks are wet. I hate that. They've given me many, many great kilometres of use though, so I can't really complain. Quick math on it, would be 2 winters or roughly 8 months' of daily walking. 6 days per week (factoring in weekend walking and activities), 4 weeks per month, x 8 months x 11kms per day......2112 km's. There's no real "accurate" measurement on it, but that'll be somewhat close. I have a pair of really warm, waterproof Kodiak boots at work, but they're steel-toe, steel-shank beasts that I call my "$#!T-kickers", leftover from when I was a truck driver. They'll get me through.

I've worn out my Asics a few times over the rest of the year, but the wet feet this morning surprised me into thinking of this stuff. LOL

Menu: B: 1/2 cup ff greek with some berries, and just now I added a 1/2 protein bar before I get into my office coffee and start slaying it here today.

MS: the other 1/2 of the protein bar

L: 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles, black pepper

AS: protein shake

S: Unknown.

ES: Decaf, maybe some sort of veggie/cheese string thing but I doubt it.

QOTD: I've felt the loss of a wallet with $2500 in it to fix my car, so I'd return it regardless. I borrowed money from my uncle to pay for the car and it took me almost 2 years to repay him (I was a pizza delivery guy at the time, making $400 a week if I was lucky). Then I replaced the car with another slightly more reliable piece of junk, having kept the old one for parts to "feed" the new one. Hahaha

That loss hurt though, and I eventually found out who had my wallet (small town) and hunted them down. I never retrieved all of the money, but I did get my I.D. back.

Good Morning! Raising my hand for Arthritis. I was diagnosed by the same ortho I am seeing now. It's funny how you remember certain things. I went for knee and ankle pain, He took x-rays, I remember him wa;lking back in the room- looking at me incredulously (and also probably looking ay my SMO body) and saying "You've NEVER been to a Doctor for this????" Nope. "You have horrible arthritis" I also found out I had a chipped bone that was floating around my ankle causing some of my random pain. Cortisone shots worked at the time. Early onset arthritis runs in my family, obesity or not. My father and grandmother both had it, and they were thin.

So on the Arthritis front, I am having Lube/gel shots in my left knee the next three Fridays because of the arthritis/double torn meniscus from the car accident combo. I have to lay low all weekend because of it.

QOTD: These ethical questions are hard. You want to think you'd always do the upstanding thing, but we aren't that perfect. If I wasn't feeling I wanted to give it back, I might just leave it where I found it.

B: Eggbeaters, bacon, lite mozzarella. usual Latte

L: Salad w/grilled chicken, guac.

D: Pork loin and cheesy broccoli

S: protein pudding, cheese and low carb bread

ex: probably just stretching. Rest day. Need to give my aches and pains time to calm down

Good morning. I've had a pretty good week with activity. But sadly the snow is dead after yesterday's rain and today's 45+ degree temp. But I got out 5 times to snowshoe. It was the best 10 inches of snow too. My therapist just smiled yesterday and said - wow, a year ago you couldn't walk a block without a walker and now you just swam for an hour and then went snowshoeing before work for 30 minutes. That's amazing. And it really is. I've had a smile on my face all week. Today I added flotation work after my swim to get ready for running (goal 2 for 2018). I was working my leg turnover muscles to prepare to take the running load. I'm going to go for a mile run next week while I'm in Florida visiting my uncle. Can't wait.

Dinner out for V-day yesterday was nice. Took DW to her favorite restaurant and got her cute cards from the dogs (she's an amazing dog mom) and not such a bad one from me. I had a small beet salad (I love those) with just a bit of goat cheese and then I ordered the tuna tar tare appetizer for my dinner. The waiter looked at me funny. I just told him I had a late lunch and wasn't very hungry. Honestly, I could barely finish that. It's funny. Sometimes I can eat a lot and other times it's a struggle to eat even a small salad and two ounces of smashed up tuna with spicy mayo in it. I would have ordered the steak, but I wasn't in the mood for leftovers - since we are leaving soon for Florida. Plus I have 8 days of eating out to look forward to, so I didn't want to go big. I have one full gym bag for all of my on plan foods to take too - funny to have to have an extra bag planned just for all that stuff now (bag of organic pork skins, bag of protein pretzels, chicken jerky and chicken primal bars from Caveman, QQuest bars, Clear protein drinks, Premier RTD, Quest chips (or soon to be dust). But it's worth it.

QOTD - interesting, I hope it doesn't happen to me. I'm generally a turn it in guy, but the last time I did that I was nearly arrested. I found a near empty wallet at a resort and turned it in at the front desk immediately. Within minutes, I had the hotel management up my arse accusing me of both stealing the wallet and then turning it in to deflect any blame. It was nuts. Apparently they had a rash of thefts and were determined to make me out to be the guy. Luckily I had a good excuse for most of the thefts - like I hadn't arrived at the resort yet and I was 1000's of miles away. So long story short - If I knew the person I'd hand it to them, even if I didn't like them. If I found a wallet full of money, but didn't know them, I'd turn it over to some authority. If I found a near empty wallet under any cir****tance, I'd throw it in the bushes and walk away - never again!

B - 1/2 cup oatmeal with pumpkin seeds and cinnamon and the whites of two hard boiled eggs

S - greek yogurt 5 oz and 2 turkey sausages

L - small salad and 3 oz chicken burger

S - .75 oz swiss cheese

D - small salad and 3 oz turkey lunch meat low sodium

S - SF popsicles
