When your iron gets that low the world is very dark.

I think that information is not recognized well by doctors taking care of post RnY patients and I think sometimes we ourselves don't see it.

I've had to be persistent to get IV iron.

Your surgery is forever. You can lose weight again. I hope you get your iron soon.

There are EXCELLENT very absorbable iron supplements ou there that will literally make you feel better in HOURS.

Ferro-sequels ( very reasonably priced ( eight bucks a bottle of 50?) available at the Vitamin Store and maybe GNC) is the best one I've found because it is made up of four I believe types of highly absorbable ferritin supplements . Elemental iron does NOT work for us we cant absorb it and all it does is make constipation.

(((())) hope you feel better fast

I found the complete opposite to be true! After suffering with low Ferritin and switching from Ferrous Sequels to Carbonyl Iron which is complete with vitamin c I raised my Ferritin from 7 to 60. My new primary doctor this past Friday was very happy and I feel much better.
